well, I just spent the $30 on the Mobius figure and it is pretty nice and ingeniously done, although I was a little disappointed to find that the "highly detailed reflection map" advertised is 3 jpegs, one of which is from 3D Max and another 2 of standard background scenes (a sunset and a mountain) so I didn't get any mega-revalations from that. still the figure is nice and the technique of using scenery as tex and refl maps is pretty innovative. above is a P4 fem with the two Mobius maps on her skin alongside the Mobius figure as a comparison. still want to work on this maclean PS Mobius.....respect just the same

maclean, Bladepro filter from Flaming Pear uses scenery, etc. as reflection maps/tex. You can get some really neat things using them.

Makes terrific metallic areas--try www.flamingpear.com. It was a very hot filter for a good while--may still be. A lot of people used it for making buttons, that type of things, but the textures used are often landscapes. Try the demo and you'll see what I mean. diane b

LOL--that was a well discussed and used filter with PSP and PS folks and I bought it quite awhile ago. When things are mentioned here or on ngs I frequent, I just check them out--I can't take credit for finding things--just following leads S. Thanks--I decreased the slope on her nose just a bit after I looked at the pics--it looked a bit too 'flat' across the bridge. It was 'play' with the new alienskin Eyecandy filter that was a 'topic' yesterday here and in 2D forum. diane
