Fractals F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 3:03 pm)
Not that I'm any kind of Apo expert... because I'm still struggling with it myself, but EllPro... the random batches are a good place to start. They come up automatically when you start Apo, and you can do additional ones as needed. I use File->Random Batch, but there's an F-key that will do it as well. I just don't happen to remember it. LOL And the address to download the newest version of Apo is always at the bottom of any message you post or receive on the APO mailing list. ^_~ Best of luck, and have fun!!
Hi EllPro, there are a lot of programs with random buttons. The problem is that most of the images generated with random buttons need a little tweaking. Most of the newer fractal programs are geared more toward the artistic than mathmatical. You kind of get hooked into the math part. I really don't like math that much, but I catch myself reading and studing all I can to help. I was actually reading a paper on "matrix math" just yesterday. If someone had told me a year ago that I would be learning so much math, I would never believed them. Oh well, we live, we learn, we live some more! William

Is there a fractral program anywhere where it has a button that will randomly select the math factors for you? i.e. EllPro, the idiot he is, wants to generate a new fractal image. He pushes a button and a random image is generated from all the filters and math and whatnot. He mails the image to someone and is paid millions for it. You know, that kind of button. :)
