As stated above. I'm trying to clean up my folders & noticed quite a few Poser 2 stuffs . I have never even looked in these. Also, how about Figures labled Poser 4 hi/lo, figures as well. I'm these are the dork etc. I have no use for these. Just want to make sure before I hit delete Poser won't freak out. ;) TIA

go ahead and delete them, those character files aren't referenced by anything.

Hi dlk30341,

A friendly suggestion ... ;=]

Make a new folder named "OldPoserStuff" (or whatever) and "move" the characters, props, etc. to the new folder.

If you start Poser and you have accidentally deleted (moved) something Poser wants, you can easily find it and restore it.

After you are satisfied that Poser is still "happy" after you have made your "deletions," then you can delete everything in the "new folder."

First do you really want to do that, poser 2 figure make great store mannquins for store frount scene and crach dummies. If you want to get rid of them you can, poser wont care or miss them.

Walk Designer uses the Nude Man P4 Lo.cr2 and Blendloman.obj by default. Normally, if you remove those, Walk Designer won't work properly.

But you can change the default to something else.

LOL on the pic!!!! I don't do animations so walk designer is of no use to me. As far as mannequins..I think any of the V1-3 or M1-3 would make good mannequins....just leave them as is ;-).

You mentioned 160gb being whittled down to 54.2! WOW! One thing though, I've heard from several reliable sources that the true capacity of any IDE-type harddrive is roughly 55% of it's total rated size. If you use a "scuzzy"-type HD, you're okay. Otherwise, try to get back up over 80gb. You will see a marked improvement in the overall speed and performance of your computer. The reason is, IDE HDs read/write from the center and work closer to the outer edge as they get full. The inner circle has less surface area. Therefore, the data can be read faster. This is why defragmenting helps as IDEs tend to skip spaces when they write data, moving closer to the outer edge. Defragmenting pushes all the data back towards the middle, removing the blank spaces. I know... what does this have to do with Poser 2 crap? Nothing. Just wanted to give a good tip to those who don't know about this :) and... cool pic DarkMatter!!
