Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 22 9:27 pm)
Hi dlk30341,
A friendly suggestion ... ;=]
Make a new folder named "OldPoserStuff" (or whatever) and "move" the characters, props, etc. to the new folder.
If you start Poser and you have accidentally deleted (moved) something Poser wants, you can easily find it and restore it.
After you are satisfied that Poser is still "happy" after you have made your "deletions," then you can delete everything in the "new folder."
cheers,
dr geep

Thanks Dr. Geep..Poser is still happy LOL...I deleted tested, all A OK,,dumped the bin. I love dumping the bin :)LOL I figured the Poser stuffs came from the CD's from PoserWorld.....Cleaning house is a good thing for the HD.....;)....I have 3, One is used for textures CD's & clip art, that I've purchased over time, 1 is for backup, the other is Main. 160g is down to 54.2G :O, no thanks to Poser and Vue stuffs. Thanks folks for all your help, as usual:)

You mentioned 160gb being whittled down to 54.2! WOW! One thing though, I've heard from several reliable sources that the true capacity of any IDE-type harddrive is roughly 55% of it's total rated size. If you use a "scuzzy"-type HD, you're okay. Otherwise, try to get back up over 80gb. You will see a marked improvement in the overall speed and performance of your computer. The reason is, IDE HDs read/write from the center and work closer to the outer edge as they get full. The inner circle has less surface area. Therefore, the data can be read faster. This is why defragmenting helps as IDEs tend to skip spaces when they write data, moving closer to the outer edge. Defragmenting pushes all the data back towards the middle, removing the blank spaces. I know... what does this have to do with Poser 2 crap? Nothing. Just wanted to give a good tip to those who don't know about this :) and... cool pic DarkMatter!!
