I knew it seemed kind off familiar. I dread to think how many cubes you have in there. Mine went over 500 with just a simple georgian house (sort of based on Rangers Lodge in Hyde Park London).

Chohole, another reason it might look familiar is that the house was used as the model for Lady Penelope's mansion in Gerry Anderson's "Thunderbirds" (knowing that dates me, doesn't it!) Thanks to everyone for your nice comments about the model. I just wish there was some hope on the horizon for improvements to Bryce to allow it to fulfill its full potential as a serious contender to the "real modelling apps"....
Aye, and it's this very save-time issue which makes people say, "Bryce is useless for architectural modeling". Much as we hate to admit it, this level of boolean architecture is nearly un-animatable with Bryce, and from a production standpoint, would be useless for anything other than artist's renditions. For example, the measurements and whatnot wouldn't help a contractor much. For example, how many faces are there in the scene that are unnecessary, but still take up RAM? Bryce doesn't do true Boolean methods, it's really just a mix of "Hidden" levels, a filter. So there ar millions, if not more, polygons that are there but don't need to be. If you were to do it in Rhino or Max or something, the model would be much smaller in memory, and also in disk size and speed. But image away! Nobody's gonna stop me from making my Black Tower in real life, I love that model and it's all Bryce... (although not nearly as complex as this one...)

I saw someone was asking the other week whether it was possible to do architectural modelling in Bryce - well this is something I put together over the last couple of weeks. It was supposed to be a 'quick and dirty' model of a big house for the background of a pic, but it kind of grew out of control. It is ALL made of primitives, with the single exception of the balustrade uprights, which are freebies from Ysvry ( http://home.deds.nl/~mp/elf/elf.htm). I find Bryce very comfortable to do this sort of model in (to me the interface is much more friendly than Max) but the downside is that you end up with a massive file (90 Mb without textures) that you can't export to other applications. I'd love to put it in the freestuff, but it's much too big, and anyway it has Ysvry's stuff in it. I've set myself a project to remodel it in Max, so if I succeed I will post it up somewhere for download.
