xxxander ( ) posted Thu, 18 March 2004 at 8:17 AM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 12:38 AM

When I try to apply a MAT onto a figure in some cases (with Mike and Vic 3) I get all kinds of errors I have to click through saying something to the effect that it can't load the different face/body setting??? What could cause that and how can I fix it? Thanks for any help!

Could be asking for the bum's most of the time they are in jpg format and you have to manually convert them.

I get that error message sometimes, too. Notably with the anime morphs package from DAZ. I wonder if it's because they were made for the original Vicky 3, and she's since been updated?

DCArt ( ) posted Thu, 18 March 2004 at 10:18 AM

That is a body shape pose, not a texture pose. They require that you have the facial and body morph packages in addition to M3. If you don't have the body and face morph packs, that would explain all the errors. If you do have them, check to see that you installed them to the right place and didn't move them.

With the anime morph packs, I don't think the problem is not finding the morphs. Because the anime morphs work. But they don't seem to work very well. You get that error message, but the face does change. However, it doesn't look very good. I really wonder if they made some update to the geometry that screwed things up.

I have the body and face morph packs. I don't know what is wrong....What directory should they be in (sorry I am a bit of a Poser newbie!)

Hmmm ... not having the anime morph pack I'm not sure what to tell you, as randym77 says he has the same problem. Do you have the latest updates to Vicky 3?

Are the files mentioned in the error messages actually at the location where it is looking? If you move or rename the !DAZ folder or its subfolders, INJ and REM poses won't work. Apologies if this is stating the obvious.

SndCastie ( ) posted Thu, 18 March 2004 at 11:37 AM

they should have installed to the right directories when you installed the exe from daz. write the message down that you copied or just keep this window open and see if they are in the folder it tells you it should be in. If not you might have moved it somewhere else and it is looking for it or you deleted the file. You could try reinstalling the exe again to see if that clears it up.

Xxxander, are you using Poser 4 or Poser 5? If you're using Poser 5, there can be problems if you install M3 and V3 anywhere other than the main runtime. If you just let the DAZ installer put it in the default location, it's probably in the right place.

RHaseltine ( ) posted Thu, 18 March 2004 at 12:53 PM

If you are using Poser 5, and if you installed to one of the non-default Runtimes (that is, not Poser 5Runtime ) then go to the Runtime you used, open it, open the Libraries folder, select the !DAZ folder and copy it; go to the Poser 5RuntimeLibraries folder and paste a copy of the !DAZ folder. That should help.

WHen did you buy the anime morphs? If it was a long time ago-- there was, I dimly recall, an update. But if you bought them within the last month-- can't help. Emily

It's the "anime dolls" morphs I'm talking about. I bought them a long time ago, but didn't use them until recently. I didn't get any notice about an update, and there isn't one listed on the product page.
