Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 02 5:01 am)
Click the button to create a new IK chain. Give it a name.
Drag-and-drop body parts in the hierarchy list onto the new chain. The cursor will change from an X to a checkmark to indicate that you can drop the part there. Start with the base of the chain and work your way out to the end (or goal).
Repeat as necessary until all the elements in the chain are built.
Oh; good show. I'm still working on how to make multiple chains of objects as single figures (giving me trouble...grrrr....), but what i did was create an object in 3DS Max, export it to 3ds format. Then I imported in Poser, opened the hierarchy window, clicked the object, and chose "Create new Figure". Then it can be pulled from the "New Figures" Portion of the Figures menu. That way, I can create a new file, and open the figure from New Figures, and apply IK. I am having trouble chaining them together and saving as a single figure, though. Grrrr.... -- CM

Grrr....since I can't export my bone structures or IK solvers from 3ds max to Poser, I've been trying to figure out how to create them in Poser. In the hierarchy editor, there is a create IK option, buit it's never selectable. I can't find any decent tutorials on creating HI or IK solvers in Poser. Can anyone at least point me in the right direction?
