Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
You did a good job on this!!! I have created several animations in Poser with mimic and rendered them in Poser. I didn't know you could render an animation made in Poser, in Max. How in the world did you do it? I didn't think mimic and BVH files would import into Max...or...how? I am truely amazed. As I said before this animation is really good.

Thanks for the comments so far. Animation is a pretty lonely task so any comments are very welcome. beos53 there are several ways to get poser animations into Max. I'm using the plugin that comes with pro pack. There are other methods but I'm no expert on them. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find them discussed. Check out my web page, all my stuff is rendered in Max. www.rubbertoons.com
Very nice work! The timeing is very good. I think timeing is the hardest and most important. She's a little stiff and robotic though. More hip movement would probly fix that though. When she swings the bat, the hip has to twist at least a little. From my experience the hip should almost allways be moveing a little. Never still or a flat line in the animation curve.
It's great!! There's a little stiffness as LynnJonathan mentioned but all in all it's very very nice! Must have taken a helluvatime to make.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Wonderful work! You invented a visual theme that wasn't actually present in the text, and made it work with the text. Misaki looks just as good with a bat as she does with a wrench. :) Not sure why that's true; maybe something in the face conveys concentrating on a job. In any case, she's just right for animation, and I'm especially glad to see that I'm not the only one using her for that purpose. (More users ultimately means more accessories, after all.)

Thanks again everyone for the comments. I agree about the two bat swings at the end. I keyframed that 4 times and couldn't get it right. The swing should somehow start in the hips and travel up to the bat in a natural smooth way. Very tricky. Misaki is my favorite character. I'd kill for that black outfit with the boots that Sara has. Thanks again, glad you liked it.

I hope you enjoy this new effort. The keyframing was difficult and took much longer than I had anticipated. The hands were really challenging to keep under control and so were the "wardrobe malfunctions".
If you have the time I would really like to hear any comments or suggestions.
