Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 15 9:11 am)
If I understand you right, you're going for the engraved look? Try playing with the lights, they have a HUGE impact on Sketch renders. You can use the Cartoon-with-lines display mode to determine the shadows before sketching.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Thanks for the help, but it's kind of vital to keep the textures ( and the cartoon-with-lines display doesn't keep the textures ) The engraved look ( very fine engravings thow ) is indeed what I'm looking for. In fact there is a much finer technique called "hot neadle" to get the result I want. Carving with a hot neadle into a very hard kind of wax or plastic. Peevee
No no I meant you could use the Cartoon-with-lines BEFORE you sketched it, as an aid to see where the shadows would fall. You should change to normal textured view before you hit "sketch"

WEll you asked 2 questions - the first how to save. When yo want to creaete a large image you choose the sketch design you want, then you choose to render as an animation - 1 frame the size you want and it will render the pic to disk for you. As for styles, It's kind of pick and choose fo me - I have used Ironbear's presetsat 3-D Arena, I have some there too, but I don't really do the style you are looking for - perhaps 'bears has that - haven't used it in a while. Too I always render several different lighting and sketches then I overlay them i post to get the look I want.
