See this link for a zipped .AVI movie that I made, using this sub model (and its .pz3 file; in that version I deleted the diver to save file size). (Please download it as soon as possible, so I can delete it off my WWW site, as I am running out of WWW space.) I want to replace the last frame by a BMP file that I made up, as an end-title. Please where can I get a good AVI-editor? I have AVIEDIT; its file aviedit.exe is dated 24 Nov 1999 at time 21.23; but it has serious bugs, and I can't see a way to do what I want to do using it.

The suction-dredger-sub model that I used in the above movie, is in this file.

I use Media Studio Pro - excellent but pricey and probably much more than you need. Try Ulead's Gif Animator. It's cheap - maybe has a time-limit demo - and does a lot of cool things. I think it can do avi's - I know it can do sequenced frames - so worst case you'd have to re-render sequenced frames.

Just watched your movie - cute! Here's an all Poser solution to your problem. Use the one sided square and make a texture map for it out of your BMP file. Put the square in frame one - BUT scaled down till it's invisible. Then at the end of the video scale it up to full frame.

The twitching of the flexible suction hose was not intended. It came from a bug in the way Poser in movie rendering handles many-segment IK chains when they are restrained at both ends.

The movie is 300 frames, 16 per second, each 400*400 pixels. - - - - - -

Where can I get Media Studio Pro and Ulead's Gif Animator?

I Use adobe premeire. I think it is a great editor for poser. I use still 720X480 and using DVraptor and premeire combined, come up with very clear lossless digital video. for around $600 you can get DVraptor card and software with adobe premeir software. So, it is a great deal, if that is in your budget.

Okay you can get a FULLY FUNCTIONAL 15 day free trial of Gif Animator (does AVI's, quicktime, autodesk, etc.) at http://www.ulead.com/ga/trial.htm GIf animator is great for small projects $40 from Ulead probably a lot less from a web retailor. Media Studio Pro is around $550. But if you need a firewire card you can get ADS PYRO for around 60-80 bucks that includes the edit modual of MSP. Also I just remembered seeing Video Studio (not a bad entry editor) FOR FREE after rebates at compusa about 2-3 weeks ago. If this offer is still around this would bet a great way to go - editing is pure butter for simple stuff. Learn in 15 minutes.

There is a newer version of AVIEDIT out. It can be downloaded from this link.
