To have DivX encode the output size must be certain dimensions. I think it is that the width must be divisible by 4 and the height divisible by 2 (or the other way around). Not having those dimensions will stop DivX from working, giving that error message, I found that out in Poser.

I checked my other computer (the one with Poser on it), and the settings were the same. I'm really beginning to believe I'm having memory problems. That would explain the long render times. If I'm not mistaking, 1000 kilobytes make a MB. If this is the case then, I'm only using a little over 10 percent of my RAM. The default setting in Divx on my other computer seems to work fine. Considering that my computer is showing 148,000 kilobytes of RAM, I would think that is my problem. It's funny that I did not catch this earlier. When I seen the error message, I thought I should check. Hopefully new hardware will find the RAM and recalculate.

What are your frame dimensions? From your measuring your screenshot it looks to be 540 x 405?
Yes, dimensions should be divisable by 4 and optimally by 16.
I strongly suggest you update from your 5.0.2, and get the newest divx codec, version 5.2

or...render out to jpgs or tifs or tgas sequence (or whatever Bryce has available for sequence files) and download a trial copy of adobe after effects or premiere and import them. Then you can export as any movie format with any codec available. or do wut the others said and check your resolution :-)
