As I remember, you said it is dedicated to a song or album, so i'm not sure what final result is you R trying to achieve, but to me looks good so far, i would rather try some futher tweaking in PhotoShop, or whatever software u use, found myself plenty of times in situation that i cannot make any more signifficant changes in Bryce, an PaintSopPro gave me further and better results... Whatever U decide, it still looks good in my opinion. Regards!!! :)
I'm not sure if this will work but; maybe if you used a sphere tinted green instead of the sky for a background, then the reflective plane would mirror the color. I think. Turn shadows off on the sphere to avoid picking up any shadow from the tree. Now that I'm thinking about it, use a square for the sky to avoid curving the horizon.
One thing to keep in mind, it's easier to draw emotion from an artwork if one can relate to it in some way. For example, someone might be more apt to enjoy abstracts, if they played with a kaleidescope when they were younger. Single men might not enjoy looking at a still life of a baby crib as much as mother would... etc... With that in mind, right now I just don't see enough elements to relate to. It's a dedication to Matthews, perhaps you can incorporate a cd into your scene in some way? Music notes? The title suggests "dreams" so how do you think you can convey that? Simple is good, but I think thus far this may be too simple. Btw, I love Dave Matthews too! "Where are you going" is in my list of top ten pop favorites of all time.

I REALLY want some critiques on this, anything you guys can come up with to make it better would be great!!! Now i notice that the reflective surface is still pretty much white, and there's contrast between that surface and the sky...i'd like some ideas on how to get them to match if possible.
