Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 27 5:12 pm)
when you download any model (figure, prop, etc), it normally comes in a zip file. Sometimes the creator puts it in an .exe format which installs itself to your poser library. But most of the time it comes in a .zip file. When you extract that .zip file, then open it, you will usually see more folders inside the main folder. Primarily, a folder called Runtime. In order to get a model to work properly inside poser (regardless of what version of poser you're using), the model's files need to be in the propper subfolders of your poser runtime directory. Different files have different extensions and belong in different sub-directories of poser's runtime folder. Once you have all the files for that model in the propper folders, then the model will appear in the library pallet of poser, and all you have to do to import it into your poser scene is double click it, or check the check marks at the bottom of the library pallet (which is actually the correct way). If cassandra is a completely original figure, then the character file (.cr2) for cassandra will refer poser to an object file (.obj) which is the base mesh or geometry of a figure. However, if cassandra is a figure that's based off of another figure's geometry (example, vicky 3), then cassandra's character file will require that you first have the vicky 3 model installed before cassandra can be used.

There is a free female character called HER available at the sixus1 site You might need to be a member to download it, but membership is free. There are also some free clothes for this figure there, too.Message edited on: 09/17/2004 08:35
