Will it work for mac? Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Â Oh, and it's free!
I've been looking forward to this innovation with great anticipation and excitement. I'm even more excited now that you've indicated that the app creates dynamic clothing. I'll make time later tonight to test the free sample, and will provide feedback as you requested ASAP. Thanks for the sample! Dean

Thanks for your comments folks. Let me try and run through your questions.
The program works by forming clothing to a "standard" male or female figure and then exporting out the mesh in OBJ format. I then take that mesh into Poser 5 and by using Python scripting and a morphing manikin make the clothing fit the Poser figures. The number of figures it will fit will depend on the number of morphs I put into the manikin. The more I put in the more attractive the package becomes. Also because of the flexibility of the Poser 5 cloth room I'm sure that it can be made to work with other figures also. I'll ensure that this issue is clearly documented so you'll know exactly what it will do prior to purchasing. Incidentally that manikin could come in very handy for converting your existing clothing from one figure to another.
Link to the file. I've now put it on an alternative server so if the office one is busy you can try the other.
Macs? Yep, sorry. Its simply a case of cost of development against the number of expected sales to Mac users. The only suggestion I can think of is for you to pick up an old Pentium II for a few dollars, run the Garment Creator on that and transfer the output OBJ onto your Mac to continue the Process in Poser 5.
The program is for Poser 5 only. Once you have the finished clothing OBJ, yes you could make it into conforming clothing but this is outside the scope of this program. The quick way would be to use the Poser 5 set up room with the bones from a library figure and auto group.
When? Very soon. I need to complete the manikin set and I think its good to go.
Thanks for your interest folks, it is appreciated.
Sob This almost (i would use italics and bold but it's not available here) makes me want to invest in Poser 5. What you have done is the absolute premium use for Poser. I have enough difficulty with Poser 4.03 and everything I now own is rsr, not png plus all the problems I have read relating to P5. I do hope you will still offer some of your work for P4 as well. Good luck with this latest product!
the one thing i'd say would be a nice addition is if the clothing had more of a thickness, at least at the edges. especially if the thickness were adjustable on creation. would that be at all possible? even if not, it's an incredible, incredible tool. and since it generates obj files, am i correct in assuming that even people like you (advanced clothing modelers) could use it with other modeling apps? it could serve as a good starting place for cloth modeling, if so, and therefore you might think of promoting this tool outside of the poser market. as a future feature (again if possible, and even then maybe far future), you might allow people to put in their own standard figure with a larger cg market in mind. not that i model, so i'm not sure how much easier people like wusumah or batlab or even the now poser famous kim goossens would find this than standard practice, but it seems like it could be useful to them.
again, since i don't model, i wouldn't know, but if it could make designing clothing much easier for all 3d artists, this could become an industry standard.
I'd guess thickness can be accomplished with a displacement map. Gonna download this and see what it does :o) Thanks in advance Phil :oD

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Likewise here, Phil ;-) very anxious to have something for Mike and David. Based on what I've seen so far, the results are more than acceptable for dynamic clothing. Is there any way to control the mesh density - for example to create a high density mesh for some types of clothing (pleated skirt etc) and low density for others (sheath dress etc)?
I just checked at eBay and they have rules against selling a first-born son, first person to meet you at the gate, and even first to guess the name of the gnome. :( They especially don't want children who aren't conceived yet (I think they are afraid of changelings... but they said something about a 30 day rule for availability). :sigh: I suppose kidnapping is out?
