Ooops.. I think what MysticBlueRaven just mentioned is important.. a couple of more friends from US who couldn't access it were on roadrunner ISP. Any more from the ones with problems? Bobbie Boucer..that's not a broken link I'm not familiar with! In fact it is like that on all my pages except the index one as I was too lazy to update all once I made the Indian Chief headpiece available.. Shows how long I had to update! (blushing) I promise to get around it and update all my pages and galleries soon! :) Rena

Rena: Still can't get to your site. I have tried every day since you and cooler helped me with the headress. Keep getting "http://www.renapd.com not found" Win XP IE 6, Netscape, Mozilla Firefox,Zone Alarm 4 (even shut it off) and still nothing.

Works fine from the Netherlands. WinXP SP2, IE6, DSL (local ISP XS4ALL), no firewall, from behind a Win2003 NAT router. The problem looks like cached IP addresses somewhere. Does clearing the cache help? Can linwhite reach the site by IP number instead of by DNS name?

Rena, at any given time there are hundreds of name servers on the net that are misconfigured in any of a dozen ways. Probably the people who can't reach your site are dependent on one of those servers, either directly or upstream from them, so the new DNS information isn't being passed on. It can be extremely difficult to find the problem, and even more difficult to get it resolved. The good news is that eventually these things tend to sort themselves out. The bad news is that it can take a long time for that to happen. (Just as an example, our server had the most bizarre routing you can imagine for most of a year, with packets coming from Melbourne to Sydney to California, several hand-offs in the United States, through Europe and Asia, and back to the other coast of Australia before finally arriving right back in Melbourne. Every packet went entirely around the world! And all because someone's BGP router wasn't set up properly...). bonni

crapped out in Mozilla vanilla (not firefox), Zone Alarm honked at it the first time, but it's timing out on the first and 2nd URL's. Road Runner, Windows 2k, Cisco wireless router, Mozilla 1.7, and a series of walls with plaster outside, and metal grids underneath (can you say Faraday cage?..I knew you could..;)

I think Aureeanna makes the most sense here! Is this true? If that's the case, then it is a DNS update to servers indeed. I was informed by the server staff to change mine on register com and I did as I should. I'll call them back and ask for an IP address in case that would help - sounds like a good idea too. Thank you all guys from the bottom of my heart for being so responsive and willing to help the ignorant me - I do appreciate it more than you know! :) Rena

In the mean time this will work out till my dsn info is updated.

try back in a few days when your server will have their DNS info updated It may not be "their" server. It may be some server upstream from them. The fact that many people from different areas of the world are having problems would seem to indicate that (and this, btw, is part of why it's so hard to troubleshoot DNS issues). bonni

Well bonni..I'm not an expert..just doing what I can with my minimum knowledge on the issue! :) At least it seems this post has helped to get the IP address idea that helped most of the people who were having trouble - so if nothing else, this much it helped! :) Rena
