This may be a dumb question, but are you rendering the scene? Reflections only show up in the final render, you won't see it in the working screen. If the reflection doesn't show up in the render, make sure ray tracing is checked in the render options. Also make sure the camera angle is correct so you can actually see the reflection, maybe it is reflecting but you are just not seeing it. It does work and works quite nicely. I have made all sorts of reflective objects, including people to get that metallic look like in the Sexy Robot series of drawings.
You need to make sure that you have the reflection "quality" set to a high enough level in the material room. If this is set too low and the default is too low then the reflection won't look any good. For a really top reflection for a mirror for example have this set to 1. As dbowers22 said make sure ray tracing is on and up your ray trace bounces if you want a lot of depth to the reflection.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and help. After following your suggestions and the screen shot above by OddDitty I was able to make the reflection node work. I'm going to have to play with the lighting a lot to get the final result I'm looking for but I'm off to a good start. Again thank you so much for the help.
P5 is much more lighting effected than P4 was, so lighting plays a much greater role in the end result. Glad ODF could help, even if they were using a stock lighting from P5, lol
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

I got P5 a week ago, one of the reason I got it was because I wanted to use the reflection node. After reading two tutorials I found and following them to the letter, I still can't get the reflection node to reflect. I have this really great concept I want to render and it's driving me nuts because I can't it the thing to work right. One of the tutorials is from Poser Arcana http://arcana.daz3d.com/index.php?id=939. I found another tutorial that basically says to do the same thing. What am I doing wrong, anyone have this problem?
