Hello all, Ive just purchased the creature creation pack, I've recieved a reciept but no download point, I've been waiting for over an hour. Has anyone else had any trouble with purchases? zygote/Daz , if you read this please help out.

Trojan ( ) posted Sat, 16 December 2000 at 11:19 AM

I had this problem before, The person who sells the files may have many many orders and maynoit have processed your order yet, You may have to wait a day or a few days, I had to wait 3 weeks for mine. I made my purchase at biomechanics and it took that long because he had 100's of orders to process so he says.

Trojan ( ) posted Sat, 16 December 2000 at 11:21 AM

If you purchased from zygote it can take up to 3 hours for them to process your order.

Thanks Trojan, I normally download straight away, I have done with every purchase in the past, and there has been quite a few, I wrote them an e-mail and they avent replied to that either, I'm sure Zygote will fix it. "I hope" 3 weeks? that is forever, I havent seen that many Biomechanics around, it does sound odd, that they sold hundreds all at once.

Didn't you get a download page after you confirmed your purchase? Also, I have always recieved two e-mails almost immediately after buying from Zygote. One is a reciept, and the other has the download info that is on the download page you should have been sent to. They may be having problems integrating the new site into the store. I think I will wait until Monday to use my coupon. There may not be anyone there to help until then.

Same here I get the zygote download almost emmediatly but sometime once in a while it can take longer or even several hours. It took me 3 hours to get the download point sent to me once, I guess they were real busy.

Trojan ( ) posted Sat, 16 December 2000 at 11:48 AM

Normaly you get the reciept and purchase confirmation thats says the download url will be sent.

No download page, just an error message, the I tried to checkout again and it told me it had already been processed, normally, I get a download page and 2 e-mails in my box, one a reciept and the other a download page telling me, I have 2 downloads left, didnt get it this time though. Now wishing I waited until monday also, and am hoping even though it is the weekend, they will have some of the team there to answer e-mails, they should do. Trojan, the reciept looks almost the same as the zygote reciepts. cheers, Darren

The second one posted is a zygot reciept, Tends to say you should get a e mail with the download link does not say when, Just that you should get it.

Seems to me when I've bought stuff from Zygote there has been a little button down the bottom of the page that let you download the files right away, I seem to remember it wasn't real obvious that you could do that, but you could as long as you were in the compleated order screen.

nitreug ( ) posted Sat, 16 December 2000 at 3:00 PM

I just get Rose and the Flapper dress but noy without difficulties. When I was pushing the download buttom, it was only downloading a file called miva.htm. The only way to get the real file is to do two steps: When pushing the download buttom: 1) Select Open file to the current location (and the same window will come back again) 2) Save to file (as usual) Zygote store is slower today. You can imagine! It is already a slow navigation site...Claude

Thanks all for your feedback, I normally do click on the drive/download icon, bottom left of screen but for some reason, I was pushed off the server before I got that far. it must have been a really bad connection? which happened to cut me off at the wrong time. I've still not recieved any feedback from Zygote, but I put that down to being a weekend. hopefully somebody will read my e-mail and get it sorted.

nitreug ( ) posted Sun, 17 December 2000 at 2:14 AM

It looks that most of their downloads happend on Friday when no one can answer until Monday. I sent them two messages mentionning that their site mention that message"expect quality". Maybe quality of the product but not of their site. it is the worst site to buy something. It is SLOW VERY SLOW and TOO SLOW.

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Sun, 17 December 2000 at 2:58 AM

Ok, here is the way to get your downloads quickly (well, sort of quickly, depending on how much traffic there is to slow things down). IF you have an "Account" set up at Zygote (and if you don't, you really should since it comes in really handy in cases like this) go to the storefront, make sure you are logged in and then click on "Order History." This will bring up a page with everything you've ordered from them (everything that was billed to your account, that is). The first item on the list should be your most recent purchase and will show the date and time of purchase. Click on the underlined order number and that should bring up the download page. That's how I got my downloads to work today. I got the same error message as the rest of y'all and the "please don't reload this page" message. But when I went to the "order history" route, everything worked just fine and I got my purchases within a few minutes. Kate

It looks like I've got to wait until monday, not long now: ) Did the same thing happen with one of your downloads niterug? Yeah the site always seems really slow, I've had quit a few downloads in the past lose connection, it is pretty annoying when you are only on a 56K modem. I did join and was hoping to get it today, but no luck, definetly in the future I will sign in, the order history page looks like it is just the trick for getting your downloads if this happens, thanks for the tip Kate

Trojan ( ) posted Sun, 17 December 2000 at 12:04 PM

Well..... I say give them a break, They just rebuilt thier site. So if the site is a little slow, No biggie, You will still get your order sooner or later.

quesswho ( ) posted Sun, 17 December 2000 at 1:38 PM

Thanks Kate That did the trick .Now I can play with my new Zygote toys. Tootles, Marge
