Trying to work my way through the Help files Tutorials, but I've run into a snag. I can't copy/paste parameters from the tutorial into UF. I click on the parameters (thinking it will copy onto the clipboard), but I guess nothing gets copied, because I can't paste from there. Can anyone help? ~Tim ^_-

I'm not sure where exactly you are in the tutorial, but I'm guessing it's at the point where you need to paste the julia seed in "Learning basic skills" >> "learning to use switch mode" >> "Synchronising the julia seed".

When you click on the blue higlighted parameters in the tutorial:
-0.2589852008
-0.1395348837

you will copy those parameters to your clipboard.

You then need to paste those parameters into your open fractal, by right-clicking on the blank field to the right of "Start value (Re):" on the formula tab of the Layer properties window, and choosing "Paste complex value" - see image.

No, we're on the same end of the stick, Tina! The problem seems to be that the parameters are not getting copied to the clipboard. I tried this with all of the parameters we are instructed to copy/paste in these tutorials. When I go to paste them into UF, the only option I see when I right-click is copy (paste is grayed out). Normally (as when copying parameters in the email listing) copy/paste works just as it should. Any ideas? ~Tim ^_-

Hi Tim, Why do you use UF 3.02? Why not using UF 3.05. It's free to download that version. BTW about your question. Why not send a message to the UF list? Ooopsie! I had downloaded 3.0.5, but neglected to install it! Okay, I just installed it and tested it out...same problem. Thanks for the suggestion, Jos! I'll post to the list right now! ~Tim ^_-
