I've found tutorials for increasing the specularity and using P5 shaders to get realistic renders for V3. My V3 renders look awesome but my M3 renders look a bit too soft. I want to make the skin look a little rougher and thicker. I thought increasing the bump map would help, but I don't know that it really helped. Is there a shader tutorial specifically for dealing with male skin?

have you checked out face_offs Skin Shader python script? Takes maximum advantage of bump map. Some examples of my renders using it with a male model can be seen on this thread.

Papa, there is a tutorial on skin (related to the script) which deals with this. Granite displacement is probably what you are after. Plus some spots.
