Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 15 9:11 am)
There can be a lot of fiddling involved, and especially for a one-off there is a lot which might be better-done by other methods. And a worm isn't so unlike a rope. So look for a rope, or Little Dragon's Bushy Tail prop, and you might save a lot of work by making your original worm match in size, and then making it a conforming clothing item.
In essence, you go into the Poser Setup Room, and then load the character you want it to conform to. For something so simple, auto-grouping can work well.
It's not unlike what I've done to make a Judy or Posette clothing item fit to Furrette. But don't ask me to explain it.
(For your own use, there's nothing wrong with major scale changes to get something the right size, but it doesn't look so good in something you distribute, even freestuff.)

Save it as a .obj file. Go into the Poser setup room. Lay in the bones (segments), the first one will be the parent/hip. Make sure the bones are following the geometry. Pull open the group pallette, hit auto group and leave the setup room, save. In the main poser window, open the joint parameters pallette. Go down the menu for each body part, x-y- & z. I rename them to side to side etc as I go to keep track. When it bends without breaking, save it as a runtime file (add figure). Go into your runtime folder, grab the new .obj file that poser just made, and drag it over UV mapper. Spit out a mapped model and texture template. Open the .cr2 from the runtime folder and change the source geometry from the first (poser generated) model to the uv mapper one. Make your texture map and apply in the normal way. I have a download at my site that it is quite similar, and this is the method I use all the time. See the link, old one type 10bThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
