Sits in corner with Don and bottle of Red Bull & Vodka In my line of business the turnover is always pretty high on the front line, and you just get to know someone before they decide to go on to pastures new.... I'm sick of saying goodbye to friends too. Especially the cute ones ;-) Heartfelt sympathies, man. (And for you & yours, Shazz.) (",)
Yep... I too have gone through the Redundancy Process. "Pay Me what I am worth !"...I screamed! Then I found My Pay Packet empty....and came to the realization that they were paying Me what I was worth...in their Eyes....nothing. Yep....one becomes just another Unit gone past the "Use By" Date. Yep....down in the dumps time.....but....You are needed here Donald...so go easy on the Vodie & Red Bull...and show Us some of those secret "in the woods shots"...wink wink manly hugz
Thanks guys. We've lost people before, but just not in this way and under the circumstances. Was handled in one of the worst possible ways. To add to it, I was already a little depressed and ticked off and then to put the cherry on top, I come in the day after and find out that I've been moved to a morning shift where I have to wake up at 4am to get to work on time and my travel time to get home each day has gone from 12 minutes (no traffic at 12:30am) to a nice, rush hour induced time of 75-90 minutes. Whatever. Life goes on ... at least we're all still breathing. Just need some time so I can stop thinking about this stuff and actually see what everyone is doing/saying. Thoughts keep drifting off. I'll figure it out soon. Thanks again guys.

Well, the axe fell this week in our department and a man who has been with us for the past 5 years, with ~30 years electrical experience, and who I worked part of a shift with for 4-8 hours a night for the last 2 years was let go ... oh, I'm sorry ... forgot the PC term ... he was a victim of an RIF (Reduction-in-Force). Anyway ... I don't want to get started, so I'll just leave it at that. Not really feeling the joy right now so I'm just gonna go sit over to the side for a while. Be back when my heads in it again. -=>Donald
