I did look in there, the tut archives I mean. Nada that I could see. I've also looked in the manual, but it doesn't run to tuts and isn't so easy to understand.

And if you don't have Real World Bryce, get a copy.

In case you're interested in photographic textures, allow me some self-promotion :-)kimpe, Thanks, looking there..... tjohn, What's Real World Bryce? roobol, I'm quite interested, but I keep forgetting where I get downloads from (although some people do label their stuff, so I don't need to) so that's one reason why I REALLY wanted to try doing some for myself - thus the need for a tutorial. But I won't be able to resist taking a look at your stuff... Fran

Excellent work, Roobol... Very detailed and informative. I'd like to see Agent Smith put a link to this somewhere very handy, perhaps talk to him or Zhann about such an idea? Fran, if you have any specific questions about texturing, don't hesitate to ask them. We all run into specific barriers, it's inevitable...!
"Real World Bryce" is a book written by Susan Kitchens for Bryce 4 that covers a lot of "how do I do this" things. It won't cover the features that showed up with bryce 5 like the treelab, but a lot of folks say that its still worth the price of admission.

By the way I'm also not happy with the bareness of the towers below the arrow loops, any ideas? Or will a wall just cure that? I'm also not sure if the arrow loops shouldn't be less regular, more scattered about, as if they are following a spiral staircase... Hmmm, Any hints anyone? Fran

I realize this wasn't exactly what you were asking for, Fran, but I thought this type of texture would do wonders on your towers. John

Hi all, I've been thinking that I ought to - and would like to - get into texturing in Bryce. Can anyone tell me of any SIMPLE (at least to start with, 'cos I really don't understand it,) tutorials in this area of Brycepertise? Fran
