Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 4:12 am)
You're using two different camera views of the face. So the eyes, of course, aren't looking in the same direction relative to the camera angle.

Actually, the camera is in the same exact spot. I made sure of that by placing a sphere in front of the camera in poser so that when I brought it into vue I could place a camera exactly the same. You can see in the eyes how on the poser render that her pupil "rests" on her lower eyelid, but on the vue render rests against the upper eyelid. Thanks for the reply, Dragontales No ideas about the hair?
The camera might be in the same place but it has for sure not the same focal setting. The placement of the camera and the focal setting do however hardly have anything to do with the problem. To even guess, a real closeup and more high ress render is needed so that one can see what it is that goes on in the hair.
Also, could you tell us what hair it is? If I have it, I can test render it and see what's going on; if I don't, someone else might be able to check.

I just realized you were talking about Vue 5; I don't have it yet (waiting for Infinite), but I used that same hair in Vue 4 Pro with no problems. It looks to me from your small images at the first post like the trans maps isn't applying? Did you check the transparency settings?advance warning ~ I don't have vue 5... having said that, I would have to agree with Djeser's diagnosis. It does indeed look like a transparency issue.
When we were mid transition from vue 3.1 to vue 4etc, this kind off look was quite common. The most effective universal fix was to ensure that all the transparency settings in the specific problem/issue file eg. hair/ texture/ model; were checked to make sure max transparency (or colour if appropriate etc) was set to 100% in all layers before saving for export into vue.
Once imported into Vue, through the world material/object editor (f7)each layer was tweaked to ensure complete transparency had infact been translated.
Often, we discovered (in the early days) it hadn't completely translated through export/import transition, and so we adjusted it accordingly.
The most common files with issues were (for me specifically) hair files. Especially since they often had multiple trans layers to begin with.
Not sure if this was helpful, but I thought it might help a bit if it was explained with a bit of detail.
Would be very interested to hear the outcome, and or alternative findings & solutions etc.

Ok, I had some time to experiment and what I found is starting to scare me. I had forgotten that I had already used this hair prop in an image, and it worked beautifully. (See Link) So I Compared the already imported hair prop (from the image) with a newly imported one from the same exact poser scene and got the results you see above. The newly imported one has the problems. I copied the material from the old one to the new, and had the same results. It appears as if the hair is getting messed up on import. I wonder if the last update from E-on is the problem. Any ideas. If my Vue is messed up, I'm going to cry. :)Update.... I uninstalled the last update, and still got the same results. Please....someone tell me what's happening...How can the same exact file import differently now. Also...now that I unistalled the latest update, I want to put it back...I had it check for an update and it says it's already up to date....making me loose the last update. How do I get it back?
I'm afraid I can't help you with this, Dragontales, hopefully Agiel or someone else with Vue 5 will check the thread and be able to help you. Hope you get this solved!
