Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
Poser 5 does let you do a lot more with the look of a surface, especially displacement maps. That's how the detail on the walls is added.
But don't rule out using one of the free 3D modelling programs such as Anim8or or Wings. They're pretty small programs.
UVmapper Classic is available for free. Just setting up a model with a UV map makes a huge difference to how even a seamless texture renders. In-Poser techniques use tools such as the magnet deformer, and the initial UV map gets distorted.
The demo version of UVmapper Pro, even as limited as it is, can make a big difference when you're editing the actual texture, giving you a quick look at the texture on the model.

That's obviously not the tutorial section I was refering to. Your picture assumes I'm one that visits the forums to do things aside from posting questions. Naturally, I went to the normally viewed tutorials at the top of the main page, with all of the other links. That's all, this thread can stop now.

I'm user Poser Pro Pack. How would I go about making props from the primitives? How about posable props, such as doors? How would I make a texture that's been specificly designed around the prop itself, rather than some seemless one meant for anything? I'd like to make some sort of house... but I have no acess to quality 3D programs..... :/ And I'm running ona WEAK computer that can barely handle my poser.
