Check out this new hairstyle. It's amazing. This is my first render with it.

I thought it was real nice myself!

FishNose ( ) posted Tue, 15 March 2005 at 4:16 PM

Your render is a lot better than the ones shown there. Looks good, you got the proportions between head/face/hair exactly right. :] Fish

Grabbing it now, thanks for the great render! Marque

Shame they don't bother to tell you what the morphs are. Not even in the read-me.

isnt adverting suposed to go in a different forum? yep it is

dialyn ( ) posted Tue, 15 March 2005 at 5:37 PM

oliveramberg didn't create the hairstyle, as far as I know..this is just an example of what it can do by a user who likes the product. I believe that's still all right to post for the purposes of discussing the product among users. We certainly discuss Daz and Curious Labs endlessly on this forum...I don't know why it wouldn't be all right to discuss a hairstyle. I could be wrong. That's just my understanding.

elizabyte ( ) posted Tue, 15 March 2005 at 6:00 PM

Oh, good, the forum topic cops are on patrol. Whew. As for the hair, this render is much better than the promos, which look kinda "crispy" to my eyes. I never would have given this product a second look, but now I'm certainly thinking about it... bonni

I believe dialyn is correct. If the pic had been posted by SWAM or Goldtassle it'd be a different story. Forgot to mention: very nice render.

I'm waiting for Moochie's "Outrageously Posable Hair."

Letterworks ( ) posted Tue, 15 March 2005 at 8:11 PM

Wonderful hair! IT will certainly be on my wish list. And they sell it with a very nice selection of textures. I'm also waiting form Moochie's hair. It's one of the most unique I've seen. As for not discussing products in this forum...Why surrise! Poser is a product and it's all we discuss! Have to agree I like your render very much. Thanks for pointing this out, added to my wishlist lol. Been looking for something like this with bangs. :)

mathman ( ) posted Wed, 16 March 2005 at 4:14 AM

That is good hair, and the render looks fantastic. Thanks for the heads up :)

pookah, I just went and looked at Moochie's Outrageous Hair... take a look, you'll see at least one male wearing it. And it IS fabulous! France

This is borderline, but looks to me like a satisfied buyer letting others know that a certain product lives up to their expectations. As for the whole "Poser is a product too..." mentality: I would like to know if you drive a Michelin car? perhaps your house was built by Glidden? Poser is the topic of this forum, and as such, announcements of updates to THE ACTUAL PROGRAM ITSELF are on topic. Notice that other (add-on) products are not mentioned in the forum title. Sorry if I come across as brash, but this argument gets old after the first billion times...

So does the millionth "This is a product.." post when all you want to do is share something you've found with others. No border line is involved, past president is, no ads by manufacturers. Second hand posts by satisfied cutomers are ok. Sorry if I come across as argumentative, I don't mean to be. I just like seeing other peoples view on products and what they can do with them. It's a big influence on my purchases. No other forum has so much petty nit picking... by half. mike

oliveramberg ( ) posted Thu, 17 March 2005 at 4:46 AM

I started the post because I was really thrilled after my purchase. I am not related to the merchants at all. I find it allways very helpful to get a hint because there are so many average and OK-products in the store that it's hard to find the "gems".

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 17 March 2005 at 5:57 AM

Agreed. This is not borderline. It's a product review. It's only an ad if the merchant is the one posting it. Now, if Oliver were the merchant's best friend or his beta tester, that might be borderline. But an ordinary customer doing it is not borderline. Heck, I started a similar thread about Kirwyn's fantastic Genesis Hair not long ago. And if I'm disappointed in a product, I'll post about that here, too.

Letterworks ( ) posted Thu, 17 March 2005 at 6:17 PM

oliver, I owe you an appologie for the turn this thread has taken! I wish IU had half the talent you render displays and I have taken this thread away from that. I do love the hair style and the way you've used it. As I said this type of thread, from happy customers, goes a long way to influence my purchases! I'm just tired of the ever growing number of forum police, who's only seeming pleasure is to try and keep the rest of use "in line". That's the job of the moderators and the coordinators, and they do a very good job! Everyone else should lighten up and enjoy the posts they like and ignore the ones they don't. 'nuff said on this subject. I hope to see more of your renders. Here and in the galleries. mike

The render is gorgeous. The mixture of light and shadows is well balanced and pleasing to the eye; at least to mine. "Who" is the character? If you don't want to post it here, I understand, but maybe you can PM me?
