Hi! Im pretty good in poser and i have made a couple of good pictures. Im asking: how do you make realistic renders? do you have special lights? Thx for answers

Personally, I think deep down in that wonderful material system and the Firefly renderer, there is the capability to make realistic renders. The big disadvantage is Poser's poor lighting system (until P6 maybe) and it does require some Poserite skills not needed in other packages (to get lighting, shadows, etc. just right for instance). As for lights, which are crucial to begin with, definitely avoid the default light set and use either an available one (for free or purchase) or something like a light dome to simulate global/ambient/diffuse lighting. Beyond that, I'll step aside for the true Poser masters to give specific tips. :)

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

1: Learn how to use the material room. I use a proprietary material setup that looks decent even under the crappy default lighting. But it does look better when lit properly, so... 2: Learn how to use Poser's lights. Just because Poser 6 will be here in a few days doesn't mean you shouldn't keep practicing with Poser 5. Poser 6 will have more features to learn, so you'll have an easier time if all you already know how to use the previous version. 3: Master magnets and joint parameters. DAZ may someday learn how to properly rig for Poser, but they haven't yet. I haven't met a DAZ figure yet who didn't have some outrageous flaw or flaws in significant areas, spoiling any shader/lighting efforts by showing creases where none should be, or looking just plain wrong when used in ordinary posing. Magnets will free you from the morph-of-the-month club, with the added benefit that it will be easier to get clothes to fit, since you can use the same magnets with slight modifications to morph the clothing.
