Greetings,

I tried to register Vue5 Infinite using the Serial Number on the registration card received with my software. I keep getting an error message saying that the serial number is bad. Any ideas? Not registering also keeps me from downloading the current update.

I think I remember there is something between the serial number on the card and the number displayed on the screen during installation. One starts with INST- and the other one by VUE... Make you sure you are using the right one.

Hi raf1, I had a similar problem also. Go to e-on's registered user forum. You can find out about how to deal with this, and then contact e-on through their tech support. My problem was that my v4pro serial was pirated, and v5i, of course, got disabled. e-on issued me a new serial number for Vue 4 pro, and everything is O.K. now. I'm a happy man. The eco system is a immense shock. I hope this was helpful to you.

Not sure. Need an official confirmation. But anyway, let's go here my 2cents:
open v5i, choose register online... then a new special number, a different one than the serial/licnese/card, is automaticaly created. That number should be directly writen on the e-on registration page at the good place. You do not need it anymore. Btw, may be you'll need to be a registrer user before launch that v5i registration procedure. you see? Step one: register the customer. Step two register the soft through the soft's interfce's menu (the good page will open at e-on and the auto number will be created).

The one you need is the one created during installation - it begins with INST- It will be in V5I - on the menu Help>About Use that to register the product.

I really appreciate all of you taking the time to help out. The number was generated at installation and all is well. I am slack-jawed with this new release. And another thing, how many companies issue a patch before most of us receive the product? Quite impressive, indeed.
