I've submitted a Dynamic Nightie and Pantie set for EJ. This is the first I've placed in general free stuff. Hope some of you try it and let me know how I can improve on this stuff. Here's a pick of the clothing on Judy in P6 (also a first, render in P6). mike

COOL! EJ is still my favorite character to work with. Haven't tried her out in P6 yet, but now I have a good reason to. Thanks.

Very nice. Thank you. As for improvement, all I can think of is to extrude the edges to represent the hem around the neck and arms and maybe add a seam or two but I actually like smooth as it is since that gives a strange translucent rubber quality :) I love the low but not cleavege revealing neckline.

Momodot It may be my (admittedly small) knowlwdge of the Cloth room, but the original model had hems but as they draped they "pulled out" and distorted, so I eleminated them. I want to play with the "choreographed" group, or maybe "soft decorated" group to see if that helps. mike

Terrific outfit. Next stop Jessi. That would be a great outfit for Jessi. cheerio lululee

While there might be other ways, one option for seams and the like is to use a displacement map. It makes for a lot less hassle if you want to use a transmap. The old P4 halterneck doesn't transmap well because of the hems being in the mesh.

Yeah, AntoniaTiger seams right. ---Ouch. Sorry.

AntoniaTiger An excellent idea. Since P6 came out and I've started seeing more dynamic clothing around, I've started experimenting with it again. This is, admittedly, an early attempt. I hope P6 heralds in much more work in the dynamic clothing and the use of P5+ shaders. So much more versitil than the pre-P5 systems. lululee You'll see more, if this is accepted (and more aattepts if it isn't!). Personally I like the "underdog" characters. Vickie's a nice girl, but so many people support her. I'd rather concentrate on EJ (heck even plain old Judy) Jessi and of course the boys (Mike, Don and now that I have him, James). Off now to try a displacement map... mike

Mike, I had a lot of fun trying the dress on EJ last night. Thanks very much, I look forward to seeing more of your work. - Dean

Even a bumpmap could work well, but displacement maps and dynamic cloth are part of the package introduced with P5. There's still some advantage in mesh-level detail. That fits with materials grouping, and hence the P5/P6 shaders. This one is a simple model that could be used as a base. and so there are advantages in keeping the mesh plain. That's best for transmapped garments, but you could get a whole different range of options if it were a garment with more complicated materials grouping, which lets you unleash different tools.
