This looks awesome I think....but dont altar boys have that square necked white one on top....the chest part is flat (no cross)and the bottom is folded alot...make sense? I mean if you want to make it real...Now a priest would have a gold cross on the chest, I think. showing I do not attend church regularly here And I have been trying modelling for a week, I suck, if this is your first, pat on the back to you!!!
If you don't mind a few comments from a lapsed catholic and former alter boy... The cassock, which you have in red, was black back in my day. The white overshirt, a surplus, did have short sleeves, ending just above the elbow and hung down to just below the hips. It had a square neck that hit just above the collar bone and was about an inch on either side of the neck. It was pleated, as I recall. Way back when, and I'm digging back in my memory some 40 years ago, we weren't allowed to wear any sort of necklaces or any other kind of jewlery. That sort of thing was reserved for the priests. I don't know about today, I'm not much of a church goer any more. Hope you don't mind my throwing in my two cents worth. Please forgive any mispelling. It's not really my strong suit.
Wow, you really described the shirt I'm making well! But more importantly, I know what these items are really called now. Good deal. I'm modeling these based off some photos I googled. The cassock in the clearest photo was purple, but I thought that looked too fruity, so I changed it to gray. But, with gray, it didn't render too well, so I picked red for the test renders. It'll probably be black when I'm done. Also, on your say, I'll skip the necklace/rosary thing, whatever it's called. I really appreciate the input!
As to your original question I would seek out PhilC's help. He's one of the masters of clothing. He gives a tutorial on how to convert dynamic clothes to conforming in his new(er) Clothing Creator plugin. Your work is excellent. I love it. I can't model worth beans and envoy those who've taken the time to master it. Best Wishes, Rance
