just one thing, why is there allways a black place at the right side. has this a higher meaning? or can we invent something to do with it? monica.

hi barb, above the image of baroque there is and has allways been a big black square. cant let you see what i see, because i dont know how! but it is defenitely there. does this explanation help? monica

Hmm... strange. I have never seen that. Is anyone else experiencing this too? I wan't to be sure what we're talking about before I contact the programmers.

Monica, to do a screenshot, pull up the screen you want to capture. Press your PrtScr button ( usually above the Insert and Delete buttons between the letter keys and the number keys on your keyboard.) Then open your graphics program (Paint is fine). Click on file, then new, then put in the size of your screen (800x600 or 1024x768, most likely) and then click on the new blank image. Hold down the ctrl button while hitting the 'v' button and it should paste the screen shot right in there. Save it as a jpg and then bring it here to upload it.

Hope that helps...IM me if you need anything clarified.

I have discovered that if I turn of my Norton Interneet Security the black square then shows the image - so maybe this is the root of the problem - as I don't no much technical stuff I can only let you know my observations!! Judi

hi, well i turned symantic off, but that didnt work. im on a network, so we tried another computer, but that didnt work either. but... my hubby saw in the bottom -line of the screen, i translate: finished but with errors on page. he managed to get the log of the error, and i quote: line : 342 character 1 error "SymRealWinOpen" not defined code 0 Url:http//www.renderosity.com/authenticalogin.ez we dont know what this is, but it is likely the cause of the problem, although i never saw this line, since i had the same screen from the beginning, it must have been there all the time unnoticed by me. lets say: I did,nt know any better. hope we can solve this, because i like the real screen a lot more. monica.

Thank you for the screenshot, Judi! Yes, it does help! And of course it also helps that you describe your problem findings as best as possible, so I can pass it to the programmers with some info. So with all this info I'll go and pass it to the programmers to see if they can fix it crosses fingers Oh, and Judi, the side bar you see on the right is configurable, you can go to your profile and choose if you want it on the left or in the right. This is a bit of an aside, but what's with that "featured fractal image" there anyways? How is that chosen? It seems like it has been the same thing for just about forever. Or is that some kind of commercial thing? I mean it's perfectly pretty and all, but not what I would consider particularly representative of the fractal craft as a whole...

Hi Lagardo, With all the work I've been doing for the new community page and since we have two weekly showcases, I haven't had much time to change that one. I've been able to change it only since I became a Mod, and the first thing I wanted to tackle was the Community Page in order to make it a more useful place to go. :) Since it's Rendo coded, I can't change the way it works. It is only one, and you can't make it random (I would have liked that). I'll try and change it tonight. Barb

Nothing particularly interesting to add, just that my screen looks exactly like Monica's and Judi's: with the black square. So they're not the only one.

Harmen's right. The nudity-thing (check/uncheck) in the Profile is the evildoer. I've changed it now and there's no more black square. Weird. Yvonne

hi all. i followed the suggestion and turned on the nudity-possibility. now i have the complete page in view. nothing in black or white. so the problem seems to be solved, but how can turning on/off the nudity make such a difference? have a nice weekend, monica.

well it's because of the following, when ya have nudity turned OFF you wont get to see the 'softgood' [i.e. products] in the community page, as in:

SQL Query Error: Column: 'nudity' in where clause is ambiguous

Query was:

WHERE

and so you see a black square or a white one, the programmers of this site need to take care of...

uhm... if you open properties of one of the products when nudity turned ON, and you paste it in the addressbar, when having nudity OFF, you are able to see the product in question, only on this page of the community you wont be able to see it, when nudity is turned OFF

and when the nudity is turned ON there is no SQL Query Error in the source code smile <<< using different browsers to check everything, therefor the alias change :-))
