Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
On my machine it does not load the thumbnails at low settings for this but the space occupied by the "blank" thumbnail place holder is just as big as the thumbnail would be, just fatser to load... in other worrds the thumnails are not "colapsed" they are simply not loaded... but each libray item takes as much vertical space as it would with the icon loaded.
"but each libray item takes as much vertical space as it would with the icon loaded. "
The question mark is a bit smaller than a thumbnail.
At the minimum screen resolution for P5/P6 I can see 4 1/2 thumbnails at a time - collapsed I can see 5 1/2.
I don't think the old P5 library format can be restored in P6 with this setting.
I've actually made large thumbs in P5 just by saving renders over the original library .PNG file. I would assume (don't have it yet--shipping) P6 will let you do the same in reverse. I believe the standard size poser png was 91x91 pixels, So presumably if you save a render in that size--or photoshop the big ones down--you should be able to get any size you want. As I say though, I haven't actually tried this on P6 yet, and there may be an easier way built in.
Hope this helps.

Hello, I've noticed that Library Thumbnails in P6 have a larger vertical spacing than in P5, so that You have to scroll a little more during Your daily library search... Is there a way in P6 to shrink the vertical spacing and get back to the nice and compact P5 thumbs look? Thanks for the info! Greets Mario
