Collision detection setting for a figure ...
Collision detection can be (must) be set
for each individual body part of a figure
because each body part is a really a
separate object.
Collision detection can NOT be set for
an entire figure at the same time. If you
look at the "Properties" window for a
firgure, you can see that there is no
"Collision detection" box to check.

One more thing, if two objects have the collision detection on, they don't touch thenselves, then if I move one agaist the other, this one move to too or you cannot move the first one.....
But you can apply the collision settings to all children parts at once. Works great with human characters: select the hip, set on the collision and hit the "Apply Collision Setting to Children". semidieu makes a very good point that is worth repeating. Thanks semidieu ;=] cheers, dr geep <--------------- makes a note for his "Collision Detection" tut ;=] - - - - - -
@ Casette ....... no problem ......... ;=]

Can someone explain "collision detection" and how it works in plain english. I am losing my sight so I have someone read the "Poser 5" manual to me but I can not for the life of me figure it out. Should it be set on every piece as it is added? or what. Thanks so much ... hopefully they will put out a maual in Braille one of these days.
