I want to make a girl in front of a mirror. I try to render but the transparency is rendering black, not clear. This is happening with all the props and characters. What am I doing wrong? I use WinXP. I have no problem with P5 only with P6. There are the settings of the mirror. I tried with other mirror settings too but have the same outcome. Below are the render settings.

Try increasing pixel samples and raytrace bounces... Don't know if it will works...

I believe this is actually caused by a bug in P6 that they're working on for the SR1.

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.

CL's Tip: "1. Select the object that will become the mirror and enter the Materials Room. 2. On Reflection Color, add a New Node>Lighting>Ray Trace>reflect 3. In the object's properties, "Visible" and "Visible in Ray Tracing" should be checked. 4. In Render Options, check Ray Tracing, Cast Shadows, and Smooth Polygons. Another approach would be: 1. Select an object to be a mirror and go into the Material room. 2. Reflection Color>New node>Lighting>Ray Trace>reflect 3. If you have a background color, node or image map in the Background node, copy and paste it to the Background channel of the Reflect node so that it matches the scene. 4. Lower the Poser Scene Diffuse Color so that diffuse light doesn't get washed out in the reflection 5. Go to the object's properties and turn on Visible in Ray Tracing 6. Render Options> Turn on Raytracing on" :) Irene

Irene, it looks like he is getting his reflections, so I think he is already got the set-ups right. It's just the reflection itself is screwed up. I think it is one of the P6 bugs that Maxx talked about. I was having problems with refractions so I emailed Curious Labs an sent a picture. They said it was a bug in reflections and refractions and the service release would fix it, as Maxx also mentioned.

Thank you very much, I will wait for the service release then.
