Subject: Aiko's and Hiro's head in other models?

sandmarine ( ) posted Tue, 31 May 2005 at 11:01 AM · edited Fri, 17 January 2025 at 2:08 PM

I really like the anime style heads of Aiko and Hiro, along with the realistic morphs, but I feel their bodies have limited possibilities... Is there anyway to put Aikos head, for example, on She-Freak, or putting Hiros head on The Freak? Ill appreciate any input

There are 2 answers to this. 1) No you can't. Each figure has its own copyright and cannot be chopped up and stuck together with other parts from other models. 2) Just put your 2 models of choice in the same place and make one's head invisible and the others body invisible. Take your choice.

I checked out the Ebonshire site (above) and downloaded the P4V3 conversion, but there are no instructions or read me. Anyone know how to make these conversions work?

Crescent ( ) posted Tue, 31 May 2005 at 6:51 PM

What P4V3 conversion? What page did you download it from? Thanks, Cres

Oh, I'd forgotten about some of the files I'm hosting for others. (I thought I was going senile as I didn't remember making a P4 - V3 figure.) What questions do you have on it? I should be able to help with this. Thanks, Cres

As ststed before, there are no instructions. What do you do with it?

Crescent ( ) posted Wed, 01 June 2005 at 4:19 PM

Could you be more specific in what you need help with? When you install the files, you need to install them in the Runtime folder. The files have paths from the Runtime folder that will install them in the proper places. After that, you need to locate the .pdf file (it will be in RuntimeGeometriesDAZPeople), and run the RTEncoder on it. This will create an .obj file from the .pcf encoded file. Now you can load the Posette/V3 character and use it. If that doesn't answer your question, please let me know what else you need to know and I'll do my best to answer. Thanks, Cres

O.K. , I downloaded RTEncode, opened it, clicked Decode, then what? Clicked File to decode, navigated to Geometries, Daz people, and the box is empty ...doesn't show any files. Its only looking for Rte files and doesn't show anything because there are no Rte files,...It doesn't look for Pcf files. ( I checked and the Hybrid Pcf file IS in Geometries, Daz people.) In the other box, Key file, it's looking for an Obj file. What file am I looking for....V3 or Posette?

Crescent ( ) posted Wed, 01 June 2005 at 6:00 PM

You might need MAZ's Objaction Mover, then, not the RTEncoder. Sorry about that. If you go to the Renderosity Free section, go to Poser, then Utilities, then go to the last page and you can find it there. I think .pcf may be Objection Mover instead. The file should be keyed off the V3 figure. Hope this helps, Cres

Well, we're getting closer.Objaction mover found the pcf file, but when I hit the convert button I get an error message saying "Range check error" .and nothing happens.

Each figure has its own copyright and cannot be chopped up and stuck together with other parts from other models. You can chop them up and do whatever you wish with them, so long as you don't redistribute (sell, share, whatever) the results. For your own use (even in a render you intend to use commercially), you can change anything you wish. bonni
