Hi, all! The latest build for DAZ|Studio is up and ready! If you downloaded the version that was made available yesterday, you will need to redownload this, as yesterday's release was...to say the least, it was broken, lol. (.ds files did not work properly at all). MS D|S Mod

Hi morrigan, I'm having problems with the newer version now (the one that replaced the accidental one). My (non-human) poser figures are coming in with body parts scattered around the place. I only just discovered this, and so far, no one else has confirmed it, so it may be just me. If I get more news, I'll post it. mac

which figures are coming in scattered? I'll see if I can replicate it, and I'll post a bug report, too. MS

It's all my own work, morrigan, and these are products that have been selling at DAZ for the past 2 years. The DS versions of my products work fine, but not the poser ones. I don't have any other people's stuff to try, but I'm pretty sure it would be the same. Also, questor can't reproduce it, so I suspect it's an isolated bug. There's a thread here. http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=295440#295440 I tried renewing my account and d/ld it again. Same result. I think I'll have to pass on this version. mac

hrmm....I didn't get much time last night to break anything, but I'm going to try my darndest today. It can't just be your things, so I'm going to DAZ, and I'll see what I can do. It looks like Questor or Richard may have found a reason, but I'll still try ;) MS

I've found the problem. DS is importing the rotation centers wrongly. See the thread link above for the gory details. It only happens with models like rooms or houses where the doors/windows have unusual rotation centers. Like practically everything I make! LOL. I've already filed a bug report on it. mac

Don't forget the problem (which I've reported) of Poser-format figures being imported with their Body FBMs correct, but the body part partial FBMs are appearing in the Parameters window in reverse order.

How many others have seen this happen? It doesn't happen to every figure: usually to anything with lots of built-in FBMs, like Aiko3 or Vicky2, not so often if the figure relies more on INJ morphs, like Vicky3. That's the nearest thing to a pattern I've found so far.

I think this build has nearly as many problems as the dud it replaced...

I tried V3, so that would explain why I didn't see it. I don't have many human figures. Posette/dork, don/judy (I've never even opened them) and J & J with P6 (opened Jessi once). Oh, I have the Girl. Got her free to do a promo pic, but I only used her once. mac

It happens to Hiro, too. This version is at least functional...ish. Gotta love the error when bringing a figure into the program saying the pose is "outside the limits" of the figure. I was told that it's not a bug rolls eyes. Other than that, I haven't had many other issues. I'm trying to find other large figures that "explode" like macleans, but I honestly don't have much in the way of "room"type scenes that it would be noticeable in...although, I'm going to see today if it explodes the figure on export for Bryce. I haven't checked that, yet.

This version is as buggy as hell I have had it crash multiple times just trying to save a scene with 180k polys.. even p3 can handle that also as metioned in the prev post that darn popup re limits is annoying

JenX ( ) posted Tue, 07 June 2005 at 9:08 AM

My advice is to keep on submitting bug reports at DAZ. They'll get the hint that, even though it may be true that the initial pose is technically outside the limits, it's the way the figures come in, so we shouldn't even be getting the message! MS
