Subject: warped sides of props in P6?

Hi, I created a 3DS object (an arcade cabinet) and imported it in Poser 6. It looks okay in the poser view but when rendered sides appear curved leaving gaps where sides should match. I thought that I made a mistake in 3DS but then I noticed the very same warp effect in a test render I made with the "eggshell chair" that came with Poser 6. The "feet" of the chair has straight sides with a slight bend on the end, Poser renders this as one curve leaving huge gaps where the sides should line up. Anyone else noticed this? Is it me or is it a bug in Poser or the props? I checked some of the objects I bought (DM Timeprisoners) and so far those objects seem okay - however they don't have the kind of sides like the chair or my arcade cabinet have (sides that start straight and bend on the end). Any ideas? -Felsir

Attached Link: http://www.UVMapper.com

Go into properties and uncheck (Smooth polygons.) you can also split vertices in UVMapper Clasic which is Free.

Can you post an example image?

@Mizrael: yes, I will post a sample later today (I'm at work now so I don't have my home PC near).

In Poser 6, you can try reducing the crease angle of the object.

Is it me or is it a bug in Poser or the props? It isn't a bug in Poser or the props. It is doing exactly what you tell it to do if you have smooth polyons checked on in your render settings.

I will check out the settings in the UVMapper tool to see if I can get it to work. I attached a file with the render of the "eggshell" chair, to illustrate the effect I'm talking about.
