Poser Python Scripting F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 05 6:41 am)
Pro - Yes, often you can do stuff in Poser with a script minimized. I have found it a bit twitchy though. That's why I've been recommending closing a running script before doing other Poser functions. You can already delete MTs in Poser. Just open the heirarchy window, select the view for all options, select the MT you want to delete and press 'DEL'. No point in re-inventing the wheel. ;-)
duane - OK, I see here you're going now. 'The total of the dial values ... no greater than 1.0' looks like a good idea. It would probably be best to implement it as a optional mode. I also we're talking two ranges here. That would be, all positive dials adding up to equal or less then 1.0 and all negative dials adding up to equal or greater then -1.0. Now the problem is figuring out how to make it work. :-) Thanks for the feedback and the idea.

What started out as an TkInter experiment turned into a major tool addition. Along with the functions in FR V1.0, FR V2.0 lets you save the MT values from two randomly generated heads. It will then use the saved values as the limits for newly generated heads. Since you can save the head MTs at any time, you can use the newly generated heads to limit the changes even tighter. I particularly interested in having someone test it on a Mac. The first ten folks that send a note to: bushi@spiritone.com will get the script to test. If you don't hear back that means I already have 10 testers. Don't worry though, it'll be in the free section in a day or two. BTW I know the hair in the image is messed up around the ear. I just threw it on since I don't like bald-headed Vickies. ;-)
