Yeah... Pc Only. It will run on Virtual PC, though -- I coded the whole thing in there. hehehe! :) (hey, it may be PC, but it was still made on a Mac!) I know it's lame for a Mac user to not be able to code for Mac. :-/ Sorry about that. I keep wanting to learn, but I'm so not patient enough to go reading manuals and I don't know a soul around here with the ability to help me understand. :-( You can be sure when I do learn, I'll be porting all my apps to Mac. :D Caro

Maybe I should have been bright enough to post one in the first place. Gah! It's Friday!!Caroline (laetia)
Apollo is built completely different from M3, if you've ever tried to apply poses from one to the other you'll find that arms might end up swinging the other way around. ;-) This app won't fix that -- hey, but maybe I'll code one which will....
However, if you bought a set of poses for Apollo lets say and these poses were saved by their creator with IK turned on, there is a chance that when you apply them, fingers might get all bent out of shape (check the ad image from the link, you'll see a pose with broken fingers -- it's one from a set I bought here!). The app can fix poses for Apollo because his body parts have standard names - left thumb is called lthumb for this figure just as it's called lthumb for millenium figures.
I hope this helps figure it out...

Hey Caro, Thanks for that feedback. I was asking just for the reasons you explained about Apollo and M3 poses. Of course, if you were to "...code one which will ..." that would be too cool. Re the swinging arms, the odd pose here and there does seem to work. Still may jump on this. After all, you can always UPgrade it. Thanks again. Larry F (who wishes he could code)
Will this utility handle BVH files when applied to a Poser or Daz figure? arrow1

Sorry, no BVH files... This edits only PZ2. BVH files are quite different and honestly I can't say that I really understand their contents well enough to edit these without breaking them. :-/ Larry - I'll look into a pose adapting thing, I don't know how easy it would be, but if I can figure it out, I'll code it. :) Thanks for the idea. :) Caro

I'd have to see one to be able to tell you for sure, but if it follows the same basic structure as a "normal" pz2 file, then normally it could be fixed, yes. :)

Thanks for your replies! It would be great if someone could come up with a utility that would adapt BVH files to Poser or Daz figures.I know I would buy it! arrow1

UnTranslate will help you fix your pose files so they do not contain translation values. This is especially useful on fingers -- depending on your IK settings, applying poses (usually those meant for a different figure) might lead to ugly broken looking fingers. :-S
It will also edit your files so that translations on the X and Z axis of character hips are removed -- this means that applying a pose will not recenter a figure in the scene, therefore if you have a figure set in front of a prop elsewhere in the scene, applying a pose that was fixed for X and Z translations will keep the character where it was. Applying poses that aren't fixed means the figure will go back to the middle of your workspace.
You can also have it edit all translations values on the body (except the hip since a Y translation on the hip is actually something useful to have!) so there is no chance of limbs being translated and looking broken.
With UnTranslate, you can fix your entire library of poses to be user friendly once and for all. Also a wonderful application to have for all you merchants out there - your pose packs will have that added value that users will thank you for. :)
NOTE: the utility is made to understand poses for figures which contain standard body parts -- the millenium figures (Vicky, Mike, Aiko, etc..), the Poser 6 people, Apollo Maximus, for example are supported figures. The utility might not work on absolutely all poses for all figures, but human figures with standard names for body parts are all supported. If you are unsure about anything, please let me know and I will check compatibility for you. :)
