Subject: M2 MORs

M2 seems to be the strongest, most well defined, figure available, but I do'nt see many links to MORs that people have developed with him, be it Free or Retail? = )

I agree but what is a mor??

Morphs? One nice thing about Michael 2 is the stock morphs are built in so you don't have to fool around with injecting them like you do with Michael 3. Haven't really seen that many custom morphs for him though. Anything in particular there is an interest in?

check out my real Men series. All of them are MOR's using m2's standard morphs. i like M2 a lot though M3 is pretty good for what i create right now :)

a MOR is a pose that only sets the morphs of the figure, doesn't apply textures or pose the figure. I have some of Stormrage's Real Men and they are excellent - couldn't ask for a more hunky set of men ;) lol

Wolf359 - jade_nyc is correct. MOR files are .pz2(Pose Library) files that do'nt just set joint bends, but moprh value combinations too, kinda like Expression files. These are very handy, especially with alot of morphs, like with M2's many muscles! I think Ockham even has a line on a MOR to Dial Python for then Morphing with MORs! While your now finding this out, A MAT is like a MOR-Pose file that loads textures. Fazzel - Well now that I've done my best I'm wondering how to do it again. So, I'm looking for one better than mine, or the inspiration to do even better! The image posted, and link to larger screenshot, was MOR'd by me, and is the best I can put a finger on. The only thing I can think may be better was the image I first saw M2's Muscles rendered in. It was a picture of him hudled over on his knees, on a beige/gray bkg. of a beach at low tide. Stormrage - Your series is very commly, I'm sure you've put some effort into them. Sometimes..., its nice to see the femenine side of a man, but that's not what we're looking at here. I'm looking for MORs to show M2's Mass, really. My best guess is this figure was made from scans of some very serious bodybuilding Men, truthfully. I'm pretty sure there must be at least a few more ways to show just that than what I've prepared? = )

m2's mass? not sure what you mean by that. While some of my guys are thin none of them aren't muscular.

Angelouscuitry ( ) posted Thu, 28 July 2005 at 10:56 AM

Mass as oppossed to Rip. Muscles with very little fat look much nicer than the same sized muscle with fat, but also adds an element of feminism when not balanced with Pure Size iota for iota. That is what actually impresses me about M2, he is huge, but not too bulky at the same time! Have you tried M3? I've tried to get a big figure out of him, but hes much more ripped than massive for sure. = )

Stormrage ( ) posted Thu, 28 July 2005 at 11:41 AM

m3 is a bit more difficult to work with. I'd love to make the same guy i pictured above with m3 but haven't been able to yet. Have you looked into one of Wyrmmaster's Massive men? or maybe the deformers for M3? http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=2180 I think i understand what you mean. More defined muscles rather than the fat? I know Wyrmmaster had Massive Mike for M2. I still have him He's pretty bulky and i love using him. For a bulked up guy check out the freak. Though i think i prefer David he seems (for me anyway) more comparable to M2

I find M2 to be the most versatile poser male ever His muscular anatomy is well defined and correct unlike a certain mildly over hyped balloonish, puffy, smooth male Figure thats out now. There is also a free Cr2 around that allows you to properly scale his hands feet and wrists. (See pic) M3 IMHO is just a semi androgynous derivative of the original V3 unimesh his muscle morphs are the worst in poserdom right now. now that I have Wardobe wizard I use M2 for all my poser male characters I only load M3 to analyze and steal his clothing ;-)

Stormrage - I definately think a great example of a Man is one that can show the contrast between the two states of being(Mass Vs. Cut) the very best, you really need both! Yes, I've seen massive mike. He's pretty nice, but a little bulky, I think? wolf359 - That is not a bad MOR, is it available anywhere? I definately agree with you about M2, especially over M3... = )

One problem I've seen with male characters, and it's not limited to any particular version of Mike, is that they seem almost babyfaced. The Freak isn't so bad, but when DAZ released a set of military clothing, their advert pic, showing Mike, David, and the Freak, made it look as if the US Army was recruiting from the elves.

Maybe it's different where you see a lot of people working in offices, and I know modern times have men paying more attention to skin care, but there's a very common smooth-skinned look which just doesn't seem right to me. The men look too young.

I'm afraid I might have to try this All Over Again. After all the time M2 has been out you would just think this thread would be jam packed with links, and examples? AntoniaTiger - This is the differnace I was speaking of, and I thin you're refering to. Without a huge amount of bulk that's where over trying to remove fat from your muscles gets you. The other big reason for that is like Wolf359 said, a lot of the male figures are'nt really male figures, they're female scans that've had alot of vertex movement. Personally, I do'nt like to mix my male and female mophs at all! elizabyte - Especially considering the releases of M3, David, and Don since then? Just think how much effort could have been saved if there were'nt more flops after M2's release than before? (You know Me "Grandma's Third Leg...") = )
