Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 29 6:06 am)
Yep - at least as originally released the Unhide poses were broken. If it isn't a recent download try again (I thought it had been fixed) but if it is a new download complain to DAZ tech support and either wait for a fix or go to RuntimelibrariesCake INJVictoria3HeadChanVis copy all the Unhide.Smile*.pz2 files to safe place in case of errors. Open the first of the Hide.Smile*.pz2 files and copy its contents. Open the first of the Unhide.Smile*.pz2 files, paste in the Hide file's contents and change hidden 1 to hidden 0 then rinse and repeat.

I bought this product about a month ago and hacked all the .pz2 files myself to unhide the dials. The odd thind was it worked okay in P4, just not in P6. I told DAZ techsupport about it and there was an update a few weeks later - dunno if it fixed it, I haven't had a chance to try it. Those smiles are really great, they all look genuine, not like the cheesy, smirky ones that seemed unavoidable before. I used one in the linked pic ;-)Thanks RHaseltine and obm890, RHaseltine - I tried your fix on one of the smiles, and it worked, thanks ! From this I take it that P6 has changed the way it processes the line containing "hidden", as it used to work in P5 ? If there has been an update to this product, it doesn't appear on the "Product Updates" page. Furthermore, there is no indication of updates on the product's page itself. BTW, do you happen to know what do the Chanvis files are supposed to do ? obm890 - nice job on the braces. regards, Andrew
If you are using P5 or P6, you should also be sure that the deltas are in the Poser runtime (not the alternate runtime, if you have the product installed in alternate runtimes). I have the product, and it has worked fine in the past, though, I'm not so sure I've used the INJ files since I started to use P6....gotta remember to try them out and see if I need to do the fix myself... eric
Hmmm... I've just checked mine and the deltas are in my alternate runtime, and everything works. My V3 version is a purchased one (just before they started giving her away). Maybe it's in the hacking? I compared RHaseltine's instructions to what I did and it's kinda different. I don't think I have the original (non-functioning) files anymore, but I'll compare my files with the ones in the current download. (If I can install the latest ones without messing up my hacked ones - I HATE daz's fancy-shmancy all-singing-dancing-auto-installers!).
I am using P6 and tried it both a distant and the native runtime for P6, and I also tried the hacking and it still doesn't work as it should. I can get the final effects by using "All Smiles INJ" and then manually turning the dials, but regardless, the Injections for the individual smiles are not working. It doesn't matter to me, as long as I can obtain the final results, which I can. It works great on David too, and I am sure on the other related unimeshes, and I am thinking with UMT it will work for M3 and Freak? It is still worth it to me, even if the individual INJ's aren't perfect. Oddly enough the REM files make the smile go away, even though the dial is set to 1 still? The one thing I did not try is the hacked files in the P6 runtime, but I overwrote those hacked files, and I won't mess with 20 more minutes of fiddling if I can get the end result anyway. Oh, well.
I think I must have started off by filling in their "contact us" form, and I addressed it to their sales support dept. They emailed me back to say it was being forwarded to tech support and after that I dealt with someone called vicky at tech@daz3d.com There were a few emails back and forth to pin it down to V6 compatibility as the problem. She suggested the hack as an interim fix while she got on to the author to fix it. Ob
To redownload: Go to your Account page at DAZ Click the Itemised order history link near the top Find Smiles Delight on the page Click the Reset link to the right of the item's listing After about half-an-hour you should get an email from World Wide Web Owner confirming the reset, but if you don't (if your or your ISP's Spam filter eats it) go to your Available Downloads page and the item should be there. I know some services are blocking DAZ emails, and some addresses get mis-entered so that they bounce. If you are consistently getting no response after using the Contact Form PM me at the DAZ forums (Richard Haseltine) and I'll see what I can find out.

Hi all, Help ! .... I'm totally confused. Does anyone else have this package ? ..... I can't get it to work on V3. I have tried all of my V3 figures and no luck (I have heard that it doesn't work on some variants of V3). The selected INJ pose simply does not show up in the list of morph parameters for the head after clicking it. As the product documentation states that you need the V3 Head Morphs package, I tried loading up all of those first, and then trying again .... still no luck. Oddly enough, there is one exception .... the only scenario where I have gotten this to work is on a custom David CR2, which I created by copying all of V3's head morph targets across to D3 using Morph Manager. The main difference that I have noticed with the custom David CR2 is that all of the community channels PBMCC_01 etc. show up in the parameter dials when I begin using it. I would not have thought that this would be a pre-requisite though. Any help appreciated. regards, Andrew
