Not sure it is related, but remember that starting with Vue 5, installation of the software has 2 serial numbers. One starting with VUE- attached to your physical copy, and one starting with INST- used only at the time of installation. Make sure you are using the INST- number when installing.
nope... it wants the VUE #.. which is fine, it's the Mover 5 # it's saying is bad, and who know what it's going to do when I get to Deep access, Lighttune and finally Botiical...
I mean COME ON!! hey check it all from the software already installed,,,,, or hey, how about making sure a person owns it before you send them the box, then you don't need to have them entering #'s for 2 hours

Hexagon, Carrara, Sculptris, and recently Sketchup.
problem with that is you need the INST code, which I cn't get to, so then i can't register on thier site, so i can't get to the download to upgrade figures... E-on's got that screwed up too.... Beginning to think if they can't get a simple registration system working correctly, how well can thier software work?

ticounne's right, you need to patch Infinite before entering the serials. You don't need the installation code, just your Vue5 serial, and after that you need to type in each module's serial when asked to. Worked for me too. If you have 5 esprit and the modules, you are registered already. I don' t really understand what's the problem here. Do you mean you didn't register the xtra modules? Please be more specific, as the process of typing serials for Infinite is very boring, I agree, but easy.
noo I registered them... when you upgrade from Esprit, to Pro to Inf.... Inf wants ALL the reg #'s from Esprit, Botical, mover, Lighttune and Deep Access.... problem is that Infinate is telling me that the fully working Registration #'s for these modules are no good... E-on has sent me copies of these and yet it still wont accept them.... And to reguister at E-on's web site for the upgrade to Inf... you need the INSTALL #, not the Registration #,... that's the # you get when you kick up the splash screen ,... which I can't get to becauseit wont let me start Inf.

E-on doesn't want your Infinite INST code, they want your ProStudio Inst code to log to their site. And your ProStudio INST shows on the splash screen. If you give them this code, and explain your problem, they'll help. I know that for contacting Tech support, you just need to type in your Infinite serial, OR the INST, they actually accept both. Now did you update your Infinite copy before entering your serials, as suggested by ticounne? This is the only way it's gonna work. So, if you have installed Infinte and tried to type in your serials before updating, uninstall Vue, re-install, get the update, and ONLY THEN type in your serials.

OK e-on has call me (got to say that is good service to have them call me directly witin 24 hrs)
the first problem is that the mover 5 I purchased was for Vue4 so... I have to update Infinite... which I CAN'T!!! ok, they e-mailed me the Update directly... great... but I still have to jump throught WAY to many hoops.. I am now up to SEVEN VERY LONG AND ANNOYING reg #'s to get my software to run... check this list out...
OK...
enter Infinite's # at time of install off disc
Enter Vue 5 Esp's # at start up,
Enter Mover 5's #
Enter Vue 4's # ( because Mover's # is no good and it has to verify that I have a good Mover # for Vue 4)
Enter Botical's #
Enter Light Tune's #
Enter Deep access's #
THAT IS WAY TO MUCH FOR ONE PROGRAM!!!! I am now at 5 or 6 hours of my time entering these Damn reg #'s and I have about had it.
And what makes it even worse is I can't find Light tune's #
so I STILL CAN"T USE IT!!!!
errrr, now I know it's not their fault that I can't find my Reg #, but WHY in hell do I need all these... couldn't the simple INST # update with ever module installed, so when you updated software, all you'd need is to enter that one # and it would know what you have? Or hey... maybe look right here on my drive for the #'s already registered to thier software?
Don't get me Wrong folks, I LOVE VUE the program, just hate e-on paranoia. Make us pay for paying... honestly i think it's easier to Hack the program than to actually enter all this crap

But when you installed Infinite, I think you got an INST code, I don't remember now, but I do know that I upgraded to Infinte from Vue5 Pro Studio, and I got to Pro Studio by buying the xtra modules just like you did. And I haven't had any problem registering Infinite. I think you should uninstall Infinite now, and re-install it, and see if you get an INST code at the end of the process, which I think happens. What I meant when I said you didn't need your INST code, is that you don't need it to contact Tech support, your Infinte serial is enough to fill out the form. Also, try the forums at E-on. Again no need for codes there.
OOps, my post is too late. Now, e-on is indeed way too paranoid about serials, since they're all available on a P2P network near you, and we are the ones who need to keep records of all these boring numbers. I guess you're gonna need to find this BOT5-### for lightTune, maybe you kept a record of the mail e-on sent you after you bought the module? I know I've written down all my serials on my manuals, and on my computer too.
I had a similar problem with Serious Magic and a host of upgrades. As an early adopter of their fabulous Visual Communicator, I ended upgrading it half-a-dozen time. Then of course, my hard disk fried, and I got a new computer, and lo and behold, I had to install it all 6 different times! I, too was frustrated and called their tech support. Friendly bunch. They immediately Fed X'd me a brand new copy of the current version without it being an 'update.' So, now all I ever need to do is install only 1! Very happy customer :-) IMO, keeping your customers happy is priority number one. (perhaps someone at e-on is listening?)
ok, the reg system still sucks,... but I got to say I have had the BEST service from them of just about any company I have dealt with!! I have gotten over whelming responces from many diff people there, all put up with my whinny, annoyed attitude, with total professionalism!!! thanks E-on, your reg system may suck, put you jumped right up and took the problem and made good by it :)

OK I have to vent a little more, i have called, e-mailed, posted on thier web site, now here. E-on's registration system SUCKS!!!!! no other way to put it. love the software, hate registering it. OK have Vue 5 ESP, upgraded to pro buying modules which i had to wait for the annoying online 4 day reg system... now upgrading to Inf and it makes me type in Inf's reg #, Vue 5 Esp's #, Movers's reg #, and at this point it freaks out and tells me its wrong,.. well after trying 18 times, getting on the phone with them still wrong, e-mailed them to me.. sill wrong, now i have to post on thier web site and wait, and wait , and wait for them to ask a bunch of stupid questions which will take most of next week. before i can use this software i paid y hard earned $$ for......!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR....SOO ANNOYING !!!!! hey why can't it simply read the reg #'s that ARE ALREADY INSTALLED ON THE COMPUTER!!!!! I'm very close to just returning the thing. ok vented :
