The model was blue because I redid the Materials for U in Wings3D. If U want the model's texture to look different in each area, there are 2 ways. 1: U can rename each section that U want to have the texture different in Wings3D. Then just apply the texture that U want to THAT are only and change the direction. 2: U can do it with the UV Map I attached in the zip file. Honestly, I would use option 2, and thats cause its faster and easier too. Take the BMP UV Map Template I sent U in the zip (the one thats called "New-Can-Even-Good-One.bmp" and bring it in Photoshop. In PS, just open up your brushed metal jpg, and texture the entire nozzle, with the exception of the bottom (the round in the template). Then just twist and turn the texture in the areas where U want to have the texture different. Save the image as a jpg and apply it in Bryce. I hope I explained it right. I could do that for U, but just a little tied up today. Tomorrow I may have a little more time and can create the UV Map for U. Hope this helps and let me know if something else I can do, and again I apologize for the delay, these Holidays keep me on my toes with the kids and wifee, lol. Have a good one.
YUp, I changed the direction in the editor. Um... now I think about it, I think I went back to the Brushed metal instead of the "doubled double" one I sent you. I really wanted the brushed metal on the main body, and on the lower neck with the doubleddouble on the next bit of the neck... The bit I'm not sure of is how to twist the texture ONLY on the parts of the UV map where I want a different direction without changing the bit I want straight. And you say that's in PhotoShop where you do that bit? Right... (slight frown). One other thing, how come my doubleddouble texture looks so much nicer - clearer sharper etc - that when I did it? Is that JUST because it's been UV'd? I think I must have missed a few steps... something about taking it into wings and out again - AFTER the UVmapper Uving, and THEN taking it into Bryce, is that what makes the texture so much clearer? But I can wait for an answer, don't worry about me. I've got nothing on this weekend. You go do family stuff.

Sorry in a hurry, but if U want to, just send me the materials U want, where U want em, and Ill uv texture it for U. It wont be til probably tomorrow morning, but it should do it. again sorry but a tad busy. In PS U just use the transform menu to twist around (rotate, skew, distort). Thats the good thing about UV Mapping, U create your OWN map and apply it to the model. Bring the BMP file in PS, put a texture on it, save it as JPG and load in Bryce. See how it comes out. Then, go back to PS, do a few lines here and there, save it again, and load in Bryce, see where the lines went. This will show U and U will learn faster by doing the texturing. Once U figure out where each section is, then U can load all your metals and texture it in PS. Once U put the texture on the BMP file I sent U with the model (in Photoshop), just do a few black lines here and there, see where they appear in Bryce, and U will figure it out believe me. I did it the same way to learn and now works great. Either way, just email me all the stuff and how U want it if U cant figure it out, and Ill do it for U, and show U the final and how I did it. Thankx

Here's the nozzle cornelp, it's less distorted on it's sides, bu as I said in my IM to you, I'd like to be able to have this texture JUST on the body of the cylindrical nozzle. Then have it again but this time on the neck and going in another direction - horizontal to the other texture, and a different version on the next bit of the neck, etc etc. How do I do that? Plus, I feel that the texture on the body at the moment is looking a bit stretched, do I need a smaller jpg of it or a lrger jpg for the lines in the texture to look smaller & thinner? Um, I don't think the nozzle used the .mtl file that you sent back - it arrived all a light shiny blue... or WAS that the .mtl file? How do you get an obj to arrive in Bryce with its texture already on it?Measure your mind's height
