The textures look fantastic! Love the hair styles too you used! I am limited on hair to try out, and have to admit those look great! Of course I have that big hair thing, probably heavily influenced by Raquel Welch in 1 Mil BC so the Celestial hair was a natural choice for me. That primal hair is awesome, might have to grab it! Not familar with the other one, but very nice.
I suppose it is true that many people only think of Poser clothing as just something to load into your scene and conform to the figure. They have come to expect the static look, the poke thru, few or no morphs to match the morphs in the base figure or to aid in posing the clothing more naturally.
Maybe these things do not matter to most folks. They matter to me, so I always put a lot of extra work into adjusting the jp settings in my clothings to get the best conforming possible. Each cr2 is customize - not robbed from another figure and called done.
Morphs are generally made in Poser with magnets so I can see exactly what the results will be as they are being made and tested. This helps to ensure morphs that work as they are intended. Not spawned from some other clothing or figure usings a utility to make clones. It does mean that many of the morphs are not always as simple to use as just turning the dial to 1 but for the creative among you, the morphs make it possible to pose the clothing in ways not normally possible in Poser!
Mesh is grouped with an eye toward how the base figure bends and moves and how the conforming clothing will bend and move with the figure. Often just a few polygons here or there can make all the difference in clothing that poses naturally with little or no poke thru and clothing that performs horribly. There are limits in Poser, but where possible I do my best to overcome them.
In general, it takes months, not weeks, for me to make a new store item. I do not rush it out. I rarely ever make back in sales what I put into it in way of work. But that is okay because what matters most is quality. Perhaps there are others who are more talented and do better faster. But I do my best and I take as long as is needed to make that so.
Perhaps these little things do not matter to every one, but if they matter to you. Then I am glad I do them!
Hi Jade, thank you! To be honest, though, I think most merchants do think that way. Being first and foremost artist, I believe they would love to spend eons working on something. But if they are going to also be successful at this from a business standpoint they have to find a happy medium between time spent and money made. I too sometimes find myself thinking and feeling that way, particularly when sales seem poor after I just spent a lot of time on something. But at heart I'm less a businessman and more a craftsman. While its nice and even useful to make money off the stuff I sale, I'd probably do it even if I wasn't making money. Its just something I love to do. But I am fortunate to have a few folks out there willing to help support me at it. :O)
Thanks Marko! This is the BC bottom with the front and back flaps lengthen (using one of the morph dials). Used included hair magnet on hair but manually pose the magnet (took only a few seconds).
Actually I have a better Savana the Barbarian render in the works but the quick here shows how easy it is to change from cave girl or jungle girl to barbarian.
Also, even though the magnet and pose set is made for the Celestial hair, for those of you familar with the basics of using the magnets, you can easily adapt it to work on most figure based hair or even prop hair with just a little tweaking - and of course mileage may vary) :O)
Take a look again at the second image I posted (top of thread) and at the one here. It shows a list of the V3 morphs for the clothing and you will see muscular 1 is there.
Not shown, but as most who know my clothing have come to expect, there are also some of my standard generic ajustment morphs as well. So the clothing can be made to fit a wide of body shapes fairly easily.
I also included an optional (DAZ body morphs required) pose injection preset that will load the musclular1 and tone morphs to V3. Since I am not big on bulking muscles, the values are set low by default, but you can easily beef them up with a turn of the dial. Then just adjust the coorisponding morphs in the clothing to around the same value so it fits.

Maybe this weekend or first of next. Still in pending with R. Pretty good size package, plus they are testing the 2 texture add-on packs for the clothing so all 3 can be released at the same time. After all, without some goodies for her cave closet, Savana just wouldn't have a thing to wear! LOL!

True, but temples are suppose to be sancuary so no fighting allowed - just like in Highlander. hehe. Yeah, I find it a bit odd myself. Course celt men use to paint themselves blue and fight naked. Er, I think they painted themselves blue - it might have been just been they were really really cold! :O)
actually you are right about the blue ...they used a dye called woad from a plant but they were not naked...they actually wore clothes. But the color of their skin was supposed to scare off their enemies and it must have worked because they usually won their battles and as a result never did get taken over by the romans or anyone else that tried to take over the united kingdom...I know a little bit about this seeing that is where I am from ...heheh
I know they terrified the romans - whatever they did! It also never made any sense to me that they fought naked. So that is good to know. I had heard the term Woad used before and had completely forgotten they were often called Woads. I have celtic ancesory and have always been intrigued/fascinated by the celts as far as what little I know (recall) from history and have seen in movies, etc. Whenever I hear celtic music or see scenes and landscapes of the countryside. It just seems so strangely familiar. :O)
