Subject: Newbie Poser question

DuBetzDesigns ( ) posted Fri, 16 December 2005 at 5:42 PM · edited Thu, 16 January 2025 at 11:45 AM

I tried to look through other posts before posting this question and couldn't locate an answer. By default the Poser window saves images 9.264" wide and 6.389" high. How do I flip that? So the 9.264" is the height? Also, I've sent emails to the Renderosity store and have yet to receive ANY response, does anyone know why? I sent them to fdteam@renderosity.com Thank you in advance.

Which version of Poser are you using? You can change the image to any size you want (well, within reason). It's in render dimensions or render options, depending on what version of Poser you are using.

For store contact, please email store@renderosity.com. I don't recognise the email address you've been sending to... did you get that from a page on here? I'll have it amended if so... Karen Poser Mod

Randym77, I'm using version 6.0. Thank you for the tip, but is there anyway to have a workable canvas, prior to rendering, that's higher than wider? I know, it's a stupid question as I can pull the camera view out, I'm just used to Photoshop and controlling the canvas. Karen, yes I did. Give me a couple seconds and I'll try to relocate it on the site.

Karen, I haven't been able to locate that email, let me click around a bit and I'll find it. I'll PM you when I do.

Nother tip... You can change to any size by unchecking the "Aspect ratio" option. Great for 16:9 (or 19:6) images. :)

Sam, where do I find the aspect ratio?

SamTherapy ( ) posted Fri, 16 December 2005 at 11:44 PM

You don't. Normal computer and TV images are 4:3, widescreen is 16:9 What you have to do is a little math. Example, the following are 4:3: 640 x 480 1024 x 768 1600 x 1200 and so on... What you have to do is work out which size and formatworks best for you.

Window -> Document Window Size has limits (1265x1009 in P5, no idea where they got those numbers) but you can go to Animation -> Movie Output Settings and set whatever dimensions you want, (uncheck 'constrain aspect ratio') and export one frame with sequence type = image file, you should be able to create an image size that will crash any pc.

Thank you Alexic, I'll try that as well.
