Subject: Did We All Make It???????

DJB ( ) posted Sun, 01 January 2006 at 4:51 AM ยท edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 7:00 AM

I think I was the last one in our forum to see the New Year. Haven't seen anyone from Alaska here yet. So did we all make it out alive? Everyone wakes up all cheery and bright eyed I hope. Everyone here has something special they give to make me believe this 2006 will be a stellar year. Peace!!!!

I know I made it all the way to sunrise this morning :D But then again, I'm not from Alaska :p

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Made it through a quite New Year's Day with the Family. Getting to old to get out to the party's. Good to hear from you Jack!

Cheers ( ) posted Sun, 01 January 2006 at 6:38 PM

I went into London to watch the fireworks at the London Eye...I don't know what was worse, the crush of the people trying to leave or the after effects of a very cheap bottle of Champers I bought...and drunk with my good lady...:P Hope everybody had a good time anyway :) Cheers

Made it through ok, started off the morning (just like Christmas morning) with a big beautiful rainbow, which I took as a wonderful sign for the new year, then later today we had a terrible wind & rain storm and the power went out... So...made a big cozy fire in the fireplace and lit the candles, got up close to the fire, put my feet up, and pondered the new year... cup of tea in hand......came to the conclusion... life is good!!!! I'm ready for 2006... whew!!!!!!!! ;)

2 final shots...don't want to overdo it. They were shooting them fast and furious, so the smoke hung in the air and was lit by subsequent fireworks.

Thanks...but nothing special. The last 2 were: tripod mounted, no flash, f/3.5, 6.0 seconds, 7.1mm, focused at infinity, no zoom. Remote shutter release recommended.
