Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
Dodger has been striving to create conforming armour that poses realistically. His "Paladin for M3" was released at PoserPros today.
Valandar is working on a conforming armour set for David, with refits planned for Michael and the Freak. He's posted additional preview pics at DAZ.
Dodger(and Lyrra) have a couple other really cool armours too... Vanguard Armour For David(with Lyrra) = http://poserpros.daz3d.com/store/viewitem.php?selitem=8131 and Crystal Warriors at his site for David and Hiro= http://www.xfx3d.net/xfxstuff/details.mp?product=90
"You and your f**kin ankle fetish.
NO ANKLE PORN FOR YOU!"- Dodger
Buckzero: do Xurge's armours move like armour or do they bend like soft plastic? That's what the original poster seems to have been asking about.
There's a lot of armour out there that looks fine in the default pose, or in some other specific pose or poses, but if you put the arms down or up or whatever you get stretched metal plates, which is really unrealistic. What we've been making is pretty much precisely the answer to what loon asked about -- armour that doesn't deform, stretch, or otherwise behave unrealistically when the conforming base figure bends. All three of the armours people mentioned above work like that, bending only at the joints yet conforming otherwise normally. Dodger's Samurai Yoroi (M3, David and Ayumi/Hajime versions) bends some, but other parts remain solid, though using different techniques which were more limited (special JP adjustments and affector disabling, rather than the metamorph approach used on later armours).

I'm the asshole. You wanna be a shit? You gotta go through ME.
I just bought Paladin for M3 here in the marketplace after searching everywhere. For the price, its by far the best armour. I'm very happy with it.

Hey, I'm looking for armor for M3 and David. The problem is, most of the armor I have seen is either really simple or it gets all bendy when it's posed or it is made of lots of seperate props that I have to attach to the figure. Has anyone come out with a set of armor that conforms but doesn't bend weird at the joints?
