I just installed my new pro pack. Went to do some joint editing (tried opening the joint editor) and bam! I get a bogus window that I can't see. I tried resetting all prefs to factory default to no avail. I'm a pretty dissatisfied customer right now! Anyone know what's going on? Thanks in advance

I just installed pro pack today as well. I've done a little joint-editing but I have not run into this. When you installed Pro Pack did you install it over an unpatched version of Poser 4?

What OS are you using? -JH.

You should reinstall Poser 4 direct from the CD and then install Poser Pro over it without installing any of the MC/CL patches.

I kept my patched version of P4 in my Metacreations directory and then installed a 2nd copy in a Curious Labs directory and the installed the ProPack over that. I will generally work in Poser Pro, but I'll always have 4.03 available for testing purposes.

Having 2 versions installed at the same time in windows won't cause any problems with the registry? I mean, does it mess wiht your preferences? Extremely curious since I just ordered propack Donny

Well, your poser preferences are installed within your poser directory, so as long as you keep your two versions in separate directories, they will each read their separate preferences. As far as file type concerns, I haven't tried double clicking a .pz3 file yet so I don't know if the pz3 will open in P4 or PP. I can always change this if I need to, but I rarely open a pz3 from windows anyway.

BTW, I can't run both P4 and PP at the same time. If PP is running and I try to launch P4, it merely makes my PP window active.

I have'nt stopped having problems with the pro pack, and really wish I backed up my poser folder before I installed it. Sure the new add ons are pretty great but my poser is always crashing, I'm not to happy about it. I've now got two lots of poser installed one with the pro and one without.

I reinstalled Poser, the 4.03 update & Pro Pack! Still I can't change any textures!!!!! Aaargh, good grief! Rats! I feel like a blockhead! Does anyone have any ideas what's up? I'm running WinME with a Geforce2 & 160meg Ram! Idon't know if my hardware's causing any bugs to become prevalant or if it's just Poser or what! H E L P ! ! !

:: I reinstalled Poser, the 4.03 update & Pro Pack!:: Install Poser off the CD and then install Pro Pack. DO NOT install the 4.03 patch on the same instance of Poser you are upgrading with Pro Pack.

JKeller - That's what I did first & had the same problem... After checking in my manual & the Curious Labs Support area, it said that the ProPack wouldn't function with a non-updated version of Poser (but it did function - just not properly). Then I reinstalled EVERYTHING! And was left with the same problem... sigh... I'm going to give up until the weekend. Thanks!

I've tried absolutely loads of different things to get it working, The only thing I have'nt tried yet is using the disk for a frisby.... or a place mat for my coffee mugs.

My problem seems to have fixed itself by re-booting my computer...go figure!
