I'm impressed! But if you want a critique, here you go: - You might want to darken the center of the belly button to give it more depth. - There seems to be a "knot" on the outer part of the right shoulder, but it is not as prominent in the walk animation (nice movement by the way). - The wrist might need to be a little thicker. Of course this is just my personal opinion. Overall it's a great character. I love the clothing. How long did it take to model?
time to model..... the model itself took about a day (removing time wasted to crashes within Carrara) putting the model into poser took a while, this was my first attempt at making a model for poser.... this took about a month (about half a dozen attempts at setting the character up right within poser) I'm sorry I can't give a more accurate time estimate... I have a couple of things on the go and tend to constantly switch back and forth between them
OH MY! If this can be done in Carrara...I'm glad I have it and can't wait to reach your level of skill! Would LOVE to see some shots of some figure parts unfinished inside Carrara work area. I'm so glad to know that this CAN be brought into poser. Please keep updating your progress. This is a very interesting figure. Love the freckles.
fingers were made by extruding... but I did have a problem with Carrara when creating them... for some reason the vertex modeller duplicated all the vertices in the fingers and the knuckles. This resulted in a second layer that I couldn't see but would cause havoc anytime I tried to link or weld any vertices. I couldn't figure out the jump in polycount until I grabbed a vertex and pulled... the second layer came off like peeling off skin. Very strange... not sure what cause it and it hasn't happened again. I just hope it doen't happen to one of my high poly models!
I've had those file size jumps before ... Weird ! It doesn't happen often, but when it happens, it's really pervert : you can guess your file is corrupted, unless you check its size . Or if you pull vertices like you did . At least we know more about this bug now : according to your experience, it comes from an unwanted duplication of the vertices, right ? By the way, how did you get rid of it ? Did you weld the model with a low tolerance ( 0.01 or something like that ) ? litst litst.@freesbee.fr
