Subject: Saving Face Expressions/Morphs

I came up with a face morph and expression that I like, how do I save it for a future use?

Attached Link: Tute

Just add it to your pose library. The tute (large html page) may help.

Do I have to pick "Sub Sets"? I notice that when I am in the Pose folder trying to save the morphs and I go into the select sub sets area, the entire figure is selected, I only want the face/head morphs saved. What is the "Expression" folder for? Wouldn't the face morph/expression be saved there?

Hmmm... good question. I just saved a face morph last night to the Expressions library. I hope that was right! I didn't test it out... I just assumed that's where it should go. 😕

My mistake. That was for Poser 5 which I have now removed from my PC. I think the expressions library is thge way to go. See the Poser Reference Manual PDF Page 104 (document page 90). Havn't tried it (yet).

If you don't go to Select Subset, the pose will include the settings of all head morphs: Morphology morphs & Expression morphs. If you want to make a pure Expression pose you can apply to any character of the same type, you have to remove the non-expression morphs in the Select Subset window (otherwise, you'll lose your character morphology settings). If you want to save a pure morphology pose, remove the expression morphs from the list.

The "Expression" folder, which used to be called Faces in previous versions, is a folder where the poses saved (fc2 is a pose file like pz2) include only head morphs values. For each Character, you should create at least 2 sub-folder: 1 faces folder dealing with morphology only and 1 expressions folder dealing with expressions only. Hope it helps

Thanks very much, Adavyss.
