Well it's not YOUR fault that Rosity bumps things as "new" if you change the link.

Speedy recovery to your son and all the best to you! Thanks once again for your generosity!

my wishes to your son as well...and your stuff is awesome...

I remember when a lot of the stuff you're giving away FREE was a product for sale.
To be honest here, I never bought any of it for lack of cash, but I used to look at your stuff constantly, and then one day...bang...it was all FREE .... happy days...

Hi x2000,

I do hope your son's problems are getting less and that he recovers soon. My prayers are with you and your family.

Thanks for the freebies you give, forget the ungrateful ones - it's their problem not yours - remember they have to live with themselves.

x2k

as long as you dont post the same red hair texture over and over .. grins

your stuff is very good and why on earth would people complain about free items reappearing in the freestuff list?  I just like the memory jog every once in a while "Oh hey! I remember those I should do somthing with 'em"

and if  you have host problems again let me know and I can put them up on mine .. you wont even have to reupload, I'll just dig out my copies lol

I've had a couple bitchy IMs about my ffreestuff and even my products .... I think the most memorable would be the chap who objected to david looking 'gay' in a couple promo renders (?) so after careful deliberation I told him that I "really didnt think beer-swilling-redneck-on-couch was a suitable pose for showing of Goth bodysuits .. but thanks for the opinion "

you mean people are complaining about you updating your items?  i mean, personally, i figured out that it was the software when i saw old items reappearing.

unbelievable.

i really wish you and yours all the best.  i've always enjoyed your truly unique aliens, your sci-fi scenes and your wonderful humor.  you're one of the most generous individuals in the community. let  me add my voice to those that say it's not worth your breath to even yell at such people.  we all know you're great.  if not for you and sixus1, all we'd have is bumpy headed humans passing for aliens.

And we can't have that, now can we? :scared:  I think Star Trek must have pretty much mined every variation of forehead bumps by now anyway. 😉  Just FYI, I have several other aliens in various stages of development, so stay tuned... I also have a freebie scheduled for the PoserPros front page in the near future, and a few other things coming soon.

The forehead looks that irritate me are the ones that don't even make sense.

Humans must be,like Greys of the StarTrek universe, among the smoothest creatures.

Okay, so I know I am also bumping this thread by posting this but it's already at the top anyways so here it goes.

Could we please stop bumping this thread or change the title of the thread altogether?  I spend quite of time reading posts in this forum and, everyday, I have to come across this hideous title.  If others are not offended by it, then that's fine, but I am sure there are others like me who wishes not seeing this thread so often.  I mean, I am pretty much certain that the original poster feels the message has been delivered and others have been done well in soothing the poster already right?  I am really not trying to be a smartass, but it seems some posters are bumping this thread just for the fun of it.  I would appreciate if we can just let this thread submerge in peace, or at least change the title to something less attractive.

Thanks.

As it seems some words are ok to use here (if you feel strongly about something) I will use one as I feel very strongly about this, who the FUCK is editing/changing adding to posts here, namely the image that has been added to my reply here, i have not added it, I wouldn’t know how, nor am I interested in do so. By the adding of that image, I feel that the tone of my reply has been changed, in that I am supporting x2000 and his topic here. As I said “I understand what is happening. I don’t support his action on it”

Ouch, that one hurt, especially since I'm a real nice guy, lol. Thanks for all the excellent freebies you've made - much appreciated :o)

ROFL!!! I remember those well. I was the one who got fed up after the 20th repost and complained. That was the old days when edits didn't move to the front of the queue.

chinnei - Sorry, but I was quite angry, and I'm not exactly Mr. Rogers in the first place;) But for what it's worth, if a mod would like to (can?) change the title, they have my permission.

Failing that, you can always set the forum so that it doesn't bump posts to the top, just like it used to be.

pleonastic ( ) posted Mon, 17 April 2006 at 3:34 PM

your freebies are great, and without them getting bumped, i wouldn't have seen them, so there. :) yes, the freestuff software stinks, but that's nothing compared to the bad smell whiners such as those abusing you have. but really, whiners are small-minded pitiful people because they don't have anything better to do. whining is so much easier than creating something; consider feeling sorry for them instead -- you are creating nifty models, they whine -- no comparison, really. "nothing online means anything"? nonsense. i don't make a distinction between online and the rest of my life, because everything that happens online also happens offline, except it can be or seem more direct online. in some ways that directness is a blessing; sometimes it sucks. and i think it's best for one's mental health to learn to let negativity roll off one's back, online and in meatspace both. this is easier said than done, but it's a skill one can acquire with practice. one year i planted a seedling for every nasty thing that got to me -- being out in the fresh air doing a bit of physical activity got rid of the adrenaline, and i had the best garden ever! i figure we're creative people, we can come up with better ways to handle our stress if we only put our minds to it. best wishes for your son's health, and thank you for your freebies!

No need to apologize x2000, we all get emotional sometimes and you just happen to let it out that day.  My post wasn't directed at you for making this thread but because I was baffled at how this thread manage to stay up day after day when I thought the message had enough time to serve its purpose.  But, obviously, it wasn't meant to be and I've already disabled sorted by thread as soon as someone posted right after my request :)

Cheers!

"I was baffled at how this thread manage to stay up day after day when I thought the message had enough time to serve its purpose."

It's called "thread drift" and it's very common. 😉 You'd be surprised how few posts of long threads are devoted to the subject at hand sometimes and how far off-topic discussions can wander. Actually, aside from some joking around, this thread has stayed on target surprisingly well.

But yeah, I think the point has been made. I do thank everyone for all the support, though.

Edit: Just FYI, it turns out that mods can't edit titles, either, so I guess we're stuck.

LostinSpaceman ( ) posted Mon, 17 April 2006 at 5:41 PM · edited Mon, 17 April 2006 at 5:41 PM

They can't edit titles but they CAN lock the thread so that no new replies can be added to bump the thread.

:blushing:

x2000, Since you made the post, Couldn't you delete it?
I mean I could care less about the langauge, I'm just curious myself.

BTW, A question, I love your rooms that you make. What 3D soft do you use and method (box modeling etc) do you use? The reason I ask is you seem to have a very fast turn over and would like some adivce as to how I can speed up my modeling.. It takes me forever to model something but I'm very picky as to accuracy.
